Everhome Suites Amarillo West - Medical Center

A place thats a bit cold feeling and modern and one on staff and no other I saw. maybe in daytime. its okay I dont like the air cond unit on the wall near the bed. but whatever. Old style unit. cold ? yes! off the regular path of the town set back a little so thats good for foot traffic. Its not bad just not my style. I prefer nicer places that are warmer feeling. I saw a lot of workers staying there so its heavy traffic for that. Not a family hotel

Spacious Studio for small family

Lobby was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The 2nd floor hallway had stains on the carpet and did not look clean. The room was not good. It smelled bad and the floors were nasty. The fridge in the room was barely cold. The shower was ok but the water temp kept fluctuating. The air conditioner is motion sensor and kept turning off. The bed was comfortable. There was no breakfast offered.

Great stay everything was nice and the rooms where spacious only problem was the laundry room it was a mess and the machines didn't work half the time

The room was clean but towels were stained with brown marks Hallways were not vacuumed. Sheets are cheap polyester and were hot. Changing sheets to cotton would make a big difference in sleep quality

The hotel is easy to get to. The size of the room was nice and so was a hot shower. The hallways were filthy, which lead me to wonder how clean are the rooms

When we entered our room, it was obvious it hadn’t been properly cleaned. There was a used razor left on the bathroom counter, an opened package of popcorn sitting on the kitchen counter, and the floors were covered in hair, dust, crumbs, and food. There was also hair all over the bathroom counter. To make matters worse, the motion-sensor bathroom lights are a terrible design. If you’re taking a shower or using the restroom, the lights turn off after a short time. The only way to get them back on is to open the bathroom door, which is incredibly inconvenient. When I went to the front desk to report how dirty our room was, another guest walked up at the same time to complain that their room hadn’t been cleaned either. That tells me this wasn’t an isolated issue. For what we paid after driving 8 hours to get here, this was completely unacceptable. This place should be called “Neverhome Suites,” not Everhome Suites. Save yourself the disappointment and stay somewhere else.

That out of the way, the stay was excellent. I’d made a request for a quiet room on the fourth floor on Expedia and the hotel honored it no problem. The check-in clerk was unbelievably warm and kind to put a smile on my face. Bed was very comfortable and room was spotless. Location is great for Amarillo area. You’re located in a medical office park so it’s very quiet. Two minor things which are largely irrelevant. One is they doing construction in the area and it can be difficult to find hotel at night. Two the bathroom is equipped with an automatic sensor light. More than once I was in the shower and the light turned itself off and had to fumble in the dark to turn it back on. Aside from these two ridiculously small things this is an awesome place to stay.

Once I located the front desk clerk-and it took some time and effort- I was told since we had booked through Expedia, only Expedia could refund the unused night or that night's pet deposit. I STILL haven't been able to speak to a human at Expedia to get help, so all things considered: NEVER AGAIN.

Overall it's a clean place to sleep for the price. But the bed pillows are too small they're like the size of the ones you keep on your couch. They also need to install a bell at the front desk. Nobody was there and you had to yell for somebody.

Lingering odor of food cooked in rooms. Otherwise clean. Carpet in hallway worn and dirty

Overall the property was in good condition. Room was fairly clean, but the hallways had a strong smell of rotted food given that garbage bags are pilled up in the evening near the elevator. The bed was a bit firm for my liking and the A/C is quite loud. Good location and quiet. Would recommend for a short stay.

Was not able to get wi-fi. Shower water pressure was low.

Very nice stay, easy access to freeways. It was a very quiet area.
