Many things are not working properly like Heating & Air in the room, only air conditioner. Bathroom faucet handle came off while turning on water. The bed cover was nice but thin, when I felt cold the heat not working and no blanket available in the room.

I have stayed at Ramada’s before and this certainly is not Ramada to me. Had to change rooms sink was leaking. Desk clerk gave me towels to place around sink and told me maint would be up in the morning. Sink leaking and electricity don’t mix well. I started walking away with towels shaking my head. Desk clerk then stated we could change rooms.

The door to one of our rooms wouldn’t open after we left our luggage inside. We were locked out for over an hour. The photos of the property are quite deceiving. It’s very old and outdated. The shuttle to the train station worked great. Staff were friendly.

It was actually. A decent hotel!

The area around the hotel has issues with a homeless population. There were numerous times when entering or leaving the hotel, a homeless person was in the parking lot or on the sidewalk near the entrance screaming or acting iratically. One night of my stay, I heard shouting from my room. A woman yelling "get out I'll call the cops" and a man responding with profanities. I assume one of the neighborhood homeless found their way in. I was in 2 rooms during my stay. The first room was in sorry condition. Moldy tile work in the shower area, scratched floors, dinged walls, taped air conditioner ducts, and blue masking tape around the bathroom light fixture. In terms of cleanliness, the floor under the bed and in the spaces around the nightstands had debris, and the chair in the room had lots of debris in the crevices. The bed linens, sink and toilet were clean. The 2nd room was in better condition, cleaner than the first but was still very old and worn. Service was ok, staff were generally helpful, but on my 2nd day, I was in a video meeting on my laptop (work trip) and an employee walked into the room and asked me to change rooms. I was happy to get a new room, but I did not like being barged in on. The next morning in my 2nd room, the phone rang twice, both times unanswered with no one on the other end. Weird.

The hotel is close to restaurants and attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was ok. The hotel was clean but needs renovating. However, the hotel did not feel like it was in a safe area. It is also close to the train depot and you can hear the train sounding its horn at night and early in the morning.

The only saving grace for this place is the free shuttle service.

We booked with this property for reasons of relative affordability and the convenience of the shuttle service from and to the airport. Our lodging experience a week earlier on arrival to this hotel was less positive. We did fail to mention in the first review that the breakfast bar was satisfactory. On our stay at this same hotel on departure from Anchorage, our experience was significantly better. The room was larger, there was the king-sized bed (which we should have had on our arrival and first two nights in Anchorage but did not), the room was in much better shape, presumably a refurbishing complete. The little coffee maker tray was missing, and it was a bit of a hassle for the manager to track one down. She was the only staff member in sight and very busy dealing with other customers and tasks. She apologized several times and was clearly doing her best. Again, we very much appreciated the round-the-clock shuttle service and driver whom we generously tipped, simply because she was so outgoing and available at 4:00 a.m. when we needed to head for the airport.

We booked for June 19 and 20 (and 27, separately). We were supposed to have a king-size bed but did not, possibly because we arrived around 2:00 a.m. following two flights from Indiana and Minneapolis to Anchorage, and were the last guests in. There was only one bar of soap in the bathroom and no tub mat. This room on the third floor and end of the hall next to the stairway was in rather poor condition, appearance-wise. On the other hand, the night manager was friendly and efficient. We really appreciated the shuttle service and driver whom we were sure to tip well. Overall, we thought the Wyndam name represented a bit higher quality. We learned that the hotel was independently owned and licensed by Ramada by Wyndam. Our stay on the night of June 27 was better.

The breakfast room and breakfast were very good with a wide selection of items.

The hotel room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, there was dust on the HVAC unit and nobody wiped it during the 8 days we stayed there. The airport shuttle was a little outdated. Generally, the hotel was ok.
