Well let me start by saying the room was clean... and after that nothing more good to say. This place is well worn and needs lots of TLC. For what we paid I would expect a far better stay. They did provide shuttle service, which was more like an local uber pickup. The vehicle was nasty but the driver was friendly. Would not recommend or be on the top choices.

Don’t be fooled. This place was awful. I arrived as a solo traveler and when I saw the room I decided I definitely could not stay here as the door between rooms did not have a working lock. The place was smelly, dirty, dark and very run down. I was refused a refund. I stayed less than 5 minutes. I will be disputing the credit card charge

I was supposed to have a balcony room and I told them at the time of check in but she wouldn't give it to me. I over heard another person arguing because she was supposed to have the whirlpool tub in her room. Airport shuttle was frustrating. I called for p/u and after an hour called them again. When driver got there she stated she was at the other airport. I scheduled my return at check in time. 20 minutes before I asked if I had to request again, he said they would be parked outside, so no need. 10 minutes after my p/u I asked if they could call them and the girl at the desk said she was the driver. The man was right next to her on a personal call talking about how his felony charge follows him like a shadow. He knew I had been sitting in the lobby waiting for a couple of hours because I had a late flight.

Had a nice stay. Great staff, clean rooms and very comfy bed. Slept so sound!

The staff was excellent. The property is very old and out dated. It needs major renovations. The bathtub was peeling of some type of paint and the floors are in need of repair

Staff went out of her way to give me water bottle in the middle of the night.

We will never go back nor recommend this hotel to anyone. We were looking for a nice place just to rest for the night before our early morning flight. Instead we got a sauna. Our room was hot and smelled like smoke when we opened the door. Our toilet seat was also broken. We tolerated it. We just just needed to sleep after a long drive up from Kenai. it was after 10pm when we checked in. Our room was hot. We turned down the heat to 60°F and turned up the portable AC that was shoved into the room between the window and the second bed. The room temp according to the AC was 80°F. We went to bed thinking it would cool off. However we woke up seriously dripping with sweat! The temp in the room was 95°F!!! We had to open the door to the balcony to let the cold Alaskan Air in to cool us off, but when we shut the door the temp went right back up. We packed up our stuff and went to check out hours before we even need to get up to go to the airport it was so bad. When we checked out we notified the staff of what was happening and all we got was "oh the hose must have come off" in a matter of fact tone. After I expressed our disappointment there didn't seem to be any remorse just a simple "thanks for staying with us. We will check it out." Never again staying at a Wyndham property.

This is an older hotel, so there will be issues. We had a receptacle that did not work in the bathroom; the AC didn't work and had to be cleaned; the tv didn't work; the door closure was coming off the door and the doors would not open or close correctly. In the second room, the heat ran the whole time and would not cut off, the faucet in the sink was loose. Minor things that a good maintenance person could fix in just a little bit of time. Other than those minor things, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the shuttle drivers were very nice and knowledgeable about the area.

Poor

Comfy bed, halfway decent view, giant soaking tub Price that was actually charged was not the price that was given when we booked through Booking.com. Roku TV was terrible. Jetson hot tub really did not work at all. Hotel was dated. It needs more modern influences. Our breakfast options left much to be desired….

Location: in the worst part of Anchorage with loud cars and trucks at all hours of the day and night. Homeless people smoking drugs all around the location making foot travel unsafe. Hotel condition: Room 226 has a door that a grown man has to put his shoulder to too get in. The floors are made of broken and patched laminate flooring. The beds are old and sag in the middle and smell like cat pee. The heat has no working control and the AC is a portable that doesn't work. You can't open the windows and sleep due to the yelling homeless people and cars racing on the street all night long combined with its too hot to have them closed and sleep so getting any meaningful rest is out of the picture. Hotel Shuttle: broke and in the shop. They are using a old red Ford escape that smells like your sitting in a ashtray. This car has such bad brakes it shouldn't even be allowed on the road let alone used for transporting guests. Breakfast: freezer burnt egg sandwiches that you need to heat in the microwave. Condition are deplorable and should be shut down by the heath department. In Closing PLEASE do yourself and your family a favor and avoid this hotel at all costswhen in Anchorage.

We were told there would be a shuttle and after traveling all day, we were told we would have to wait one hour at the airport to be picked up by the shuttle. The shower curtain wouldn’t close because the shower rod was falling off the wall. The breakfast was not maintained. The coffee pot was empty. Overall, this place was very rundown and very old. We were very disappointed.

Nothing. Luckily, I inspected the room before leaving after getting my keys and was absolutely disappointed and upset since the Jacuzzi room that was advertised was not the room that I purchased for over $400. The room had three access points with access to 2 different rooms , and the jacuzzi tub was a single tub that was behind the door of a bathroom. Not like the picture used as the advertisement , which showed a Jacuzzi being directly in the main living area as. Also When I got there, there was a bunch of vagrants everywhere outside. people getting intoxicated off of the balconies. And the owner was very rude when I let them know that I was disappointed that the place was not what was as advertised and requested the refund. Service, the room, the environment and the owner

Good Advice
-
The shuttle was broken and they can’t even pay for our taxi or can’t even get us a taxi. There were 15 of us and we almost missed our tour.
-
Location Shuttle was quoted as 20-30 min, then upon calling when it was time to pick us up told 2-3 hour wait! Horrible! Had to pay for an uber.
-
Room was not the best . Furniture broken, floor was getting bad, no latch on the bathroom door.
-
Location was ok, but the website specifically says there is a bar and restaurant. This was not true, and it obviously has been closed for a long time. The hotel was not very clean. The furnishings were scruffy, dented, frayed. We paid way too much for this run-down property

Not very amenable but okay
