Beautiful clean hotel. Staff was nice but some struggled with answering questions like the concierge. He couldn’t really answer about laundry. Laundry room is 2 machines for over 240 guests and they do not clean the laundry area so it smelled like rancid food. But the room had good views very clean very comfortable with personal AC

No comment. Everything needs improvement.

Loved the restaurants, bar and coffee bar! Shuttle service and location were great! Only negative would be the 945pm closing of the bar - would have liked it to stay open later, especially after being out on tours we wanted to come back to the hotel and have a drink...many people felt the same and were turned away...otherwise great stay!

Anchorage hotels are ridiculously expensive, about twice the going rate of the rest of the world. But 600 bucks for a 'deluxe' room with a view of rooftops, a single Home Depot fan/light and no vanity light in the bath, an air unit that has to be unplugged to turn off, a lumpy and exhausted mattress, curtains that covered the air unit and did not block the midnight sun...well. The room was poor. The property is likewise exhausted. The rugs in the halls are stained and filthy, and the smell in the bar is similar to the stale beer and sticky tables of a college dive bar. We didn't even bother trying the food. Yes, being next to the water is nice, but my feeling is the owners of this hotel are simply using this property as a cash cow. It truly is not worth your money to stay here, even if it is 4 minutes away from the airport. Speaking of which, most airport hotels do provide ear plugs for the flights that thunder overhead all night. This hotel does not. I wouldn't even describe this as a three-star hotel this point, although it does have potential. A final poor note was the surly staff. I mean, wow. But the towels were good.

Good stay.

After a 12 hour ride on the Alaskan Railroad we were able to have a drink, a meal and get a night's rest. The room was immaculate and bed comfortable.

We had originally booked a guest house in the mid-town area of Anchorage that canceled on us. Expedia was totally impressed me by guarantee our booking by rebooking us in "comparable" accommodations, covering any difference. The Lake Front was very much an upgrade for us in comparison to our original booking. The room was spacious, had extra counter top and mirror in the room to organize our gear for the day, there is a bar done stairs that was busy. Beds comfortable. Only wall unit a/cs and behind the black out curtain with no ceiling fan so the night go warm because the a/c was behind the drape.

The room was super hot and very dusty. I was congested all night. The AC sounded like a jet when it turned on and off. The shower didn’t drain right and the tub filled up 1/2 way with each shower. For what I paid I expected better.
-
Room smelled musty. The bed was very comfortable. The furniture was older snd nicked. The lighting worked well in the bedroom but there wasn’t enough light in the shower. Overall a bit disappointing but nothing warranting a complaint.

It was acceptable . Nothing great.

this hotel is in a great location and it’s fun to watch the float planes takeoff and land in the backyard. Great location for doing things in Anchorage as well as getting on and off planes at the airport.

This place is probably the same when it was built 40 years ago. It’s so old fashioned, windows don’t shut properly, AC old and on the window very noisy. Lights not working, carpets worn out in corridors, sorry but for the very high price they charge this place needs a complete revamp.

I’m not sure where they find the staff, but they were the most unhelpful, apathetic group of individuals we’ve come across. We called ahead to check on airport transfer as our flight was very late and were told to call when we landed. We did and they wouldn’t answer the phone. The restaurant workers were lazy and irritated when we asked for service. One person in our group left a kindle in the room and called every day to see if she could retrieve it. Most of the time they didn’t answer the phone, but when they did acted confused as to whether they have a lost and found or what could’ve happened to items left in the room. Ultimately it was not recovered. Will not stay there again.
