Comfort Suites Anchorage International Airport

It is a budget accommodation. But staff was great, shuttle to airport was great. I went in with eyes wide open and all was good.

The first room smelled terrible, strong cigarette smoke, so we changed rooms. After that it was okay. For the price we paid, I definitely expected more, but then again seems that is just the price you pay to be in Alaska at the peak of the summer season. It was highly disappointing that the pool was closed because that was the big reason I booked this hotel for my kids. The breakfast had a lot of choices, however the coffee tasted awful. Not really drinkable, ended up pouring it out. I was also disappointed in the night staff member who helped us. He was quite rude when we asked to switch rooms and tried to tell me that the room was fine. He did not offer to go up and smell it or verify. The female staff member was much nicer and accommodating.

We just needed to do an overnight because the Barrow flight was too late to get us to Seattle but their airport shuttle both ways worked great for a comfortable night without a lot of stress. Remember to eat or plan to use uber though.

Old motel that needs renovation. Convenient to airport. Not within walking distance of restaurants.

Room was nice and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good with different choices. Shuttle was constantly picking up and dropping people off.

The property was convent and the staff was helpful, but there was food in the couch cushions when we took them off to use the pull-out couch for our 5th person. Ice machine also did not work on our floor, but it did work on the first floor. Property is also old and needs updating.

This hotel was awesome! They were so helpful and friendly. The shuttle to and from the airport was a big plus! The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable! All rooms of the hotel were clean- breakfast was really good with lots of choices hot and cold. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Bad attitude: The breakfast attendant was hostile and unpleasant. Refusal to restock: She claimed they were completely out of bread, bagels, and other items This happened over 40 minutes before breakfast service was scheduled to end. Dismissive response: She just pointed at the empty tables and refused to help. Hostile Front Desk Unfriendly behavior: The front desk clerk had a major attitude and lacked basic hospitality skills. Kicked out of the common area: Our group sat quietly in the breakfast area in the evening to plan our next day. We spoke softly and kept our volume very low but the staff had some problem even with that and asked her to vacate the area so they an lock up the common breakfast area

The staff were great and the airport shuttle was a huge benefit as I returned my rental car.

The staff was professional and very helpful even though the hotel was busy. The close proximity to the airport and complimentary shuttle was what we needed for an overnight stay before we flew out of Alaska the next morning. The beds were comfortable, sheets, linens, room were clean. It seemed like housekeeping did a good job, but the room itself was just a bit run down. A couple lamp shades, and the sofa had stains on them. The bathroom showed signs of water damage around the tub and wall. Minor things, but it made the room feel less clean. We were also near the indoor pool, so the room smelled like pool chemicals. For one night it was fine.

The breakfast was perfect. The staff allowed us to store our luggage after check out so we could tour around the city. Everyone was very nice. Super close to the airport, so the free shuttle was a bonus!

Our room was nice and clean! When checking out, let the front desk know, the hook on the bathroom door kept falling g off. So I left it on the counter. The bathroom sink needs to be unclogged, and the bathtub water had a constant drip. I just wanted to give them a heads up. But everything was good. Breakfast was okay, with a few choices.

The shuttle time filled up fast the you have to go to another 15 minute slot. By the time we checked in everything was full from 4:30 to 5:45. Our flight was at 7 so it made it real close. They need to run multiple shuttles if this is the case. The rooms are way too expensive to not provide a shuttle to the airport.

Staff was very pleasant and breakfast was good. Lots of choices.

The front desk guy assumed it was our kids running around and said to keep your kids quiet, and the kids weren’t even running or making noise, (the youngest is 6, so not much noise from her). It totally wrecked my night here, as I felt so on edge. I feel like it was so rude to assume it was the kids being loud. All night long I heard people being loud in the hall and out our door, and I understand staying in hotel you will get that, so I am not complaining, just wondering why the staff put that pressure on me and the way they assumed it was the kids making noise and being a problem really bothered me. Our night at this hotel was a negative experience for me and the kids and I would say to people with kids staying here it isn’t very kid friendly so be aware.
