Puffin Inn of Anchorage

No soap in room. Dated room size, decor. Bed had been overused in one side.

Great stay

Room was basically clean I was satisfied but did have mold in the corners of the bathtub otherwise the room was very nice. There was no soap nor an extra roll of TP but the staff quickly remedied. The room had a mini kitchen with a cooktop, fridge and cupboards for storage along with a very nice coffee maker. There was no plug in the sink so don't drop anything. The staff was very friendly, hardworking and very helpful when asked. I would stay here again as was clean and affordable for Anchorage as everything is very expensive. Several good places to eat within walking distance including a Subway and McDonalds with a couple eateries that were upscale. Important to know there are 2 hotels almost directly across the street that we're told are 100% housing for the homeless and homeless people were everywhere but we didn't feel threatened. Puffin Inn operates a no charge shuttle to and from the airport operates every half hour 24-7 just have to register the time you need at the front counter.

The Puffin Inn is your standard hotel that serves its purpose well. It's close to the airport and short taxi ride to downtown.

Clean room. Staff were very helpful. Very soft beds. Shuttle transportation was a very useful amenity.

My flight was delayed and I arrived in the middle of the night. The staff were very kind considering my predicament. I was able to be picked up by the shuttle in the middle of the night, as well as get some food before going off to sleep.

Bathroom= no safety bar in shower, unsafe bath tub w no grippy things on bottom, no hooks to hang items or clothes in bathroom, limited and sub-optimal bar soap and lotion and shampoo. Room= sketchy bedding, including sheets, pillows, unclean carpeting. Two nite stay did not include cleaning up by housekeeping staff after 1st nite. Came back to room to unmade beds, dirty towels, dirty waste basket, and overall dismal room. Should have walked out upon arrival, but time constraints were a factor. Will definitely spray everything down when returning home.

The bed was not comfortable as it was not very firm. That said the staff was outstanding and helpful. I would stay there again just because of them.

Convenient, clean and friendly staff

The bed was uncomfortable.

The main hotel seemed nice but our rooms were attached by an outdoor walk way to an old motel that was poorly renovated. The floors were sticky and the room wasn't cleaned well. When I asked to change rooms I was informed that I would need to pay for an upgrade.

The place was clean and maintained. The staff, shuttle driver and desk were very helpful and friendly. The room, double ground floor was small, but clean. There vanity was in the bedroom, toilet and shower in a separate room. It is close to the airport, walking distance to McDonald’s, Chopped and Chowdered, and Gwennie’s Restaurant. It’s a quick Uber ride downtown.

Poor with very limited options

It was a quick stay but the accommodations were just what we needed for the night.

Room was outside motel, and the smallest motel room we had ever seen.

Room was terrible. Could barely get the door open.

Staff was excellent and tried very hard to accommodate guests. This hotel is located between two very close homeless shelters. Homeless people were coming up to guests asking for money and local merchants warned us of thievery.

The front desk was welcoming. However, when we went to our room it was in an older building in need of a lot of repair. The room was musty, took a long time for the shower to get hot. The floor was sinking,
