Extended Stay America Select Suites - Appleton - Fox Cities

We enjoyed staying at the extended stay. The staff was not as helpful as we had hoped. We stayed for 3 weeks and during that time I had lost my card or it stopped working a couple of times. The night person was frustrated and not caring or thoughtful of our situation and was rude to say the least! Other than that the sink did not have a stopper so I could not feel the sink with water. The rest of the room was good and it was clean. I would stay there again.

I didn’t like some body smoking pot right below my window in the middle of the night and didn’t like the front desk coming in saying she lost her key to look around that needs to stop

Do not recommend... The ONE staff member ruined the WHOLE stay. The manager handled the situation to the best of her ability but the one staff member was horrible. I also assume she is a resident here because I saw her one morning in her pajamas walking her dog and she immediately turned around and went inside. Knowing that she was a resident and I would most likely be encountering her again just made me anxious the whole stay. It was a terrible feeling. Also, the amenities that you take for granted are not so here. If you want linen service it is $1.75 extra to trade your linens in. You don't have access to someone at the desk after 10 pm and if you use the phone to call after 10 pm, you may end up with a horrible attendant berating you because your key didn't work and you didn't want to wake up your guest who was in the room. She also told me I would be charged for asking for a new key because I had a guest in the room who could open the door. Again, I didn't want to wake my guest up if they were asleep. But am I crazy or asking for a new key should not be that big of a deal that I would actually get charged for it. (I didn't get charged, by the way.) Sorry, I stay at a different hotel for work each week and will NEVER return to this property if that employee is still there. I have never been treated so rudely in all my years of traveling. Sorry... do not recommend. (The manager was very understanding.)

Room had a smell

Smelled awful, combination of food and urine smell. Shady characters hanging out at the front of the hotel. Kids screaming. We needed a hotel last minute and this was all we could find. Would not recommend.

N/a No coffee maker, loud guests, no TV for a day 1/2 of my stay.

There is a designated “smoking area” everyone should have to use it. Expedia should know these types of hotels are NOT appropriate for family vacations!!!

There is no staff after 10pm or before 9 am. Reserved a king bed and got a single queen. No toiletries on the room, luckily brought our new own. The toilet ran constantly all night.

It cost to much for a monthly

Worn out, and I don't appreciate taking my email addy in able to use the wifi.

We had just an okay stay at this hotel. THe most concerning aspect was the lack of staff present to help. In the morning (from 7- 9 am), there was a locked grail across staff welcoming center and no note about whether staff may be back or not. Similarly, arriving at night, the staff presence was minimal. The room was quite dated and worn, with stains over the outside and inside of the refrigerator and multiple stains in the bathroom. By the way, this hotel brand does not provide hand towels. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

No toilet paper on arrival. 3rd day they stripped the bed and only left us one towel and no hand soap (which was in the room initially). When we let them know we were checking out early due to the conditions they told us to “have the day we deserved”. Reached out to hotels.com (representative was friendly) and I was offered $25 key note cash which I haven’t seen. They also said they had to have the property approve a refund of the last night. The property wouldn’t answer the phone and after two attempts they said that’s all they could do and I’d need to reach out a second time to have them try again. Not very customer friendly. Would not recommend this property. We aren’t picky at all and knew the amenities were lacking. We have been displaced due to flooding and needed a place to stay but this property was real bad

Unhelpful staff

Everything perfect other then bring your own shower stuff!! I asked her some and they said. 9 am when someone comes in! I stated.. why I was there and that would not work since I was leaving B4 7am .. they brought me shower stuff! I'll be back!

Kitchen Front desk lady has a major attitude issue and very snappy . People above us kept making so much noise it kept us awake , slamming doors from other guests totally unacceptable. Front desk was not available when you need them

Nothing Everything no good customer service no good cleaning is no good food. The workers are very rude not patient and treat you like you don’t belong.

I changed rooms before the Front ? Closed. Lady who I tried Calling came upstairs & literally "YELLED" AT ME TO QUIT TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HER, SHE SAID SHE WAS BUSY. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN. The Staff, especially at the Front Desk & the long haired woman with Tats on her face ? extremely RUDE. NOT A GOOD WEEKEND.
