La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Appleton College Avenue

Check in was at 3 arrived at 4 told room not clean yet came back at 930 no clerk had to wait for one to show up to check in.room had old worn out furniture one of the walls had an area covered up that needed to be painted carpet in terrible condition

The place was in shambles, dirty, smelled on cigarette smoke, the bed was sunken in, there no lights in the stairwell and staff could barely work the computer. Would not recommend at all

I was unaware when I made the booking that part of it was under construction after demolishing the Applebee’s and right in front of it so the roads to get to the parking lot or full of potholes. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve stayed at this hotel and it just seems like it was rundown, not kept up and not as clean. There was a bad odor musty throughout. I would not recommend this especially for the price. We had a very small bathroom nowhere to put your things which would’ve been fine because right outside the bathroom there was a wonderful vanity and a chair and a light but there was no mirror not very useful. The pillows smelled like sweat.

Pool was out of order. No staff at check in for nearly 20 minutes. First room had no working A/C, shower drain was plugged, toilet fill valve had to be manually lifted to refill toilet tank. Second room all amenities worked as should. Dirty clothes from previous guest found under bed however. Half of parking lot was closed due to construction. All in all not a great experience.

I booked a queen and got a double. The hot tub was broke and had been for months. The breakfast was bland and not really hot.

Next door is a Texas road house! The hotel is undergoing construction on the back of the hotel. Its going to be a canes chicken!!!!! 😋 There's a pool the hot tub is undergoing construction. But its not in the way of the pool. In the breakfast area there's a kids playarea, air hockey, arcade games and a pool table. And dont worry, you cant hea e the construction while in the hotel. When you go outside you'll hear it. And the beds are so soft and comfy! Im a truck driver and it was such a refreshing break from the grind. If I deliver in appleton wi again. Im going back. Oh I more thing, bring cash. ....there 150.00 upfront at time of check in fee for incidental. If you pay cash you wont have to wait for thebank! And you get it back in the morning. Oh the room, its set up like a studio suite! There's a long island, refrigerator, microwave, and oven! The island separates the space to create living room with couch, chair, and TV. On the other side is the big comfy soft luxurious bed! Plus there's a vanity when you first walk in ,and off to the right is a build in closet. And a full bath tub! I want an apt just like that. It was very functional modern updated luxurious feeling. 💯 im going back! I now have something to look forward to as a sweet treasure i can give myself when I deliver!

The property is under construction. It was near impossible to find the property entrance and lobby with all the construction. Parking was minimal due to the construction. The room had not been updated since the 90's and it smelled bad. The bathroom had mildew and mold in it. The place looked nothing like the pictures on expedia. We cancelled our plan to stay there another night and went to a better quality hotel in the area.

Terrible experience.

Interior of hotel and rooms was very tired, old, with holes in walls, peeling wallpaper.

I like the pool was open til midnight. The receptionist that helped me check in had a horrible attitude and was very rude

Plus they charge a 150.00 deposit, then return it in 5-7 day. Just wrong!! If you have a credit card on file, If there’s damage charge the card. Front desk staff was rude!! Will not stay here again.

Good clean rooms. Way too many people hanging out in parking lot area with no reason to be there.

The AC didn't cool like I thought it should but it ended up keeping us quite comfortable considering the heat wave that was happening during our stay.

We decided on La Quinta because they had a pool and hot tub, but the hot tub was down for maintenance. The pool was amazing though.

The pool was nice but the hotel is not maintained and the rooms are very run down. We had to ask for different sheets because they had stains. Stuff is out of order and the carpets are stained. The breakfast was ok.

The parking lot was confusing because of the construction to Applebee’s. Initially thought the hotel was closed for business. I would definitely recorded bed better signage. Staff was friendly. We liked how close our room was to the side door. Hot tub is small but overall a good experience.

Not Good

The room had an overall stall smoke and musty smell. All the furniture was very old and worn. We went to pull out the couch and the mattress was moldy and broken pull out. The carpet is all stained. The staff were very nice and tried to remedy the situation but it is hard to fix when everything is worn, outdated and not well kept. We were moved to a king bed and pull out couch for 5 people. The new room was also very worn and not well kept. Work out room was not well equipped nor was anything stocked. It has an open wall/ceiling space shared with the breakfast area. We didn’t even try the pool with the experience of the rest of the facilities.

Cons - everything else. For the price, I'd expect a more kept up and clean hotel.
