Super 8 by Wyndham Appleton

The Super 8 in Appleton was nice. The hotel is dated, but was very quiet, appeared to be rather clean. The bed was comfortable. The only negative is that initially when we walked into our room it smelled of old cigarette smoke, but that smell dissipated very quickly and was NOT on our clothing when we left the room. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Just OK, if you can get it for a good price. Only good for a bed to sleep in.

I forgot to check reviews before booking here, but my daughter and I woke up to bed bug bites. Very disappointed that a place I'm paying for does not give a damn about their guests. Never going there again. I'd rather pay more to get a better stay. Very disappointed.

At the front desk, I was offered another room. I declined. An organization that gives me a room in such terrible and obviously non-code compliant state immediately loses all trust for me. In my professional experience, this kind of neglect points to systematic management problems. There's no way I can trust that another room in the same property is going to be life safety code compliant. I asked for my credit card charges to be reversed. I was told it was a non-refundable reservation. I said I'd disputed the charges late, but I was not staying there under any circumstances. That grievance will be filed next.

When we checked in, we were asked if we would switch our room with a king-sized bed to a room with two queen beds. We asked why and were told our room was not cleaned yet. We agreed to switch rooms. We went to the new room. When we walked in, we saw that room was not cleaned yet. We were switched to the third room. When we got to that room, it was freezing cold and smelled like fresh paint. Tried adjusting the air conditioner and could not adjust it. When I opened the drape to look out the window, I saw a big crack in one of the windows, and they were filthy. We decided we were not going to deal with the issue until we came back from our event. When we returned, we told the from desk about the issue. The front desk person came to our room and checked the air. She could not get it to adjust either. We were again moved to another room. When we left at 11:00AM the next morning, the same lady was working that had checked us in at 3:30PM the day before. She apologized to us for the night before and told us three people called in that day. We have stayed at this motel numerous times. It was a good place to stay in the beginning, but it has not been that great of place to stay latley.

Hotel was clean but is showing signs of aging. Lobby smelled terrible. Was alright. Not too difficult or hard drive into GreenBay. Parking good.

Nothing special. Everything was fine. Didn't really expect much from a budget property.

DO NOT stay here. Rooms were so dirty! Bed was dirty! The lobby and rooms stunk so bad. Had shattered windows! And it was $200 a night! We ended up leaving and going somewhere else!

You get what you pay for.Our rooms sink was leaking and we didn’t find out till it started smelling like crap,our shower was also broken and when we tried to turn it on all the water was going out of the tub. Our room smelled like smoke and the carpet was also wet

Really dirty, tired, worn thru carpet. Breakfast ran out of coffee. The lackluster person at the desk mumbled something and went off with a grunt and a sigh when I informed them, and then proceeded to take 30 minutes to start the next brew.

Old. Dated. Run down. Sketchy neighborhood. I won't stay there again.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Good overall. Friendly staff, clean room. I liked that the refrigerator in room had separate fridge and freezer. The only negative comment I have is that any time a toilet flushed in a nearby room, I could hear the water running through the pipes somewhat loudly. But I got used to the sound and it didn't bother me much.

The room left a little bit to be desired as far as cleanliness. There were some cob webs in the corners up and down the walls and a few stray hairs in the bathroom. My biggest complaint was the joke of a breakfast they provide. Yes they did have a waffle maker (one) but there were very few other options. Their idea of orange juice was SunnyD. Might as well just provide orange soda. No fresh fruit. Coffee was ok. One choice of cereal. After the first morning I just went elsewhere.

I needed somewhere cheap to stay while on a business trip and had my infant along. I read the reviews before booking, so I had an idea of what to expect. I wasn't surprised. The hotel is older and could use an update. It worked for my stay. I decided to stay here based on cheap price, location and lots of parking for a trailer and car. The rooms weren't noise proof, my dresser and nightstand were extremely old. The nightstand drawer wouldn't stay closed. My window was cracked and clear tPe was on it. They have no pack n plays or cribs for infants, so I had to purchase on in town. The staff are quiet and are very persistent on getting trash and dirty towels from your room. I told them I was fine, but they insisted on getting them anyway. I didn't try breakfast, but coffee was gone by 10am when I went to get some. Breakfast ends at 9am. There is some sketchy people hanging around the parking lot at night. I would stay again, but don't expect anything fancy. This is very basic and run down.
