Super 8 by Wyndham Appleton

The hotel was clean enough but it was a bit rundown and smelled mildewy and like old smoke. For the price it was decent enough.

The rooms are worn, which is forgivable. However, my sheets were yellowed with sweat stains, which was unpleasant and would earn a lower rating anywhere else but a Super 8. At least they don't pretend to be a 5 star hotel.

Needs some updates

We are part of the Tornado disaster in Appleton Wisconsin, Great, Clean Hotel, price is on point and breakfast Nice...

The gym was completely unusable and appeared to have only two machines from the 1990s inside a small room. Breakfast (at the time we arrived approx 7am) contained only cereal and packets of oatmeal. No coffee was available and a mini fridge which I assumed possibly had yogurt or water at one point was completely empty.

The room was OK the bed it smelled like somebody peed in it and the toilet was clogged the whole time other than that it was fine Your staff needs to do a better job at cleaning the rooms

Very noisy, parties held in parking lot, flies or bugs of some sort in room.

No tv channels. I had front desk look at it and she was gonna get it fixed while I was gone the next day. After being gone next day, I came back and still no channels. Very inconvenient for me. I’d like a refund please.

Free parking, but the rooms were not very clean and smelled very humid, the hallways smelled bad.

The magnetic key card readers only worked sporadically. The room reeked of old smoke. The stairwells reeked of garbage and had overflowing garbage cans. The parking lot area was filled with transient folks. The adjacent room door was unlocked and kids next-door tried to force entry before I noticed. There was a big conference in town, so there were no other available rooms anywhere or I would’ve left. All this for like $175 a night. Unbelievable.

If we were staying more than one night, would have asked for a refund. The front desk girl was great. Our plans changed and needed two beds, and she did change the room. Breakfast was basic. Nothing fancy at all. SunnyD for “orange juice”.

First of all, you had to walk thru the gauntlet of homeless people who were sitting and standing near the front entrance. One of the homeless who was sitting on a camp stool showed up the next day with a super 8 shirt on. There was no Continental breakfast because the homeless people were coming in and eating everything. Super 8 was encouraging and condoning this behavior. The room was unvacuumed, the sheets were dirty. We had to ask for fresh sheets. Then the maid wanted us to change them. Thats what they get paid for. There was food left in the freezer. The fresh linen (towels)were not fresh. They stunk, and smelled sour. The inside if the room looked like it was stuck in the 70's. Very old and outdated. I expected more from Wyndham Resorts. This hotel has been neglected. I will not stay at another Super 8 hotel. Furniture was old, scuffed up missing stain, bare wood. Fridge and microwave were yellowed, supposed to be white. Carpets need to be replaced. On top of all this my friend was staying there as well, and one of the homeless kicked in his door at 2am. Not happy about the homeless hanging out. This needs to be addressed!! Overall terrible experience. You cannot feel safe staying there!!

They sent the same reservation confirmation six times. We arrived late at night to find the bathroom toilet seat very obviously dirty, as well as trash in the trash can. I didn't really look at the rest of the room for cleanliness... We paid about $270 to stay one night. It didn't smell very fresh either. At breakfast the staff replenished the breads with no tongs or gloves. What on the stay here again if that's the only thing available...

Room smelled and was very humid. Showerhead in bathroom did not operate. It was handicappe only. That is not what I reserved. Rooms need to be renovated. In fact, the entire hotel needs renovations.

Filthy room; black (?)?dirt on bathroom walks, bathroom door didnt close, dirt on floor, tub was discolored from grime, found trash on floor (kleenexes, stepped on bottle cap on floor) bed had black hairs on it. People “hanging out” in and around outside of property. Had a group of men saying “things” to me I’m an elderly woman. Didn’t get refunded by Engine due to last minute. Very frightening & filthy experience

I took the cheapest motel and got what I paid for no problem

I mean, it is certainly not a 5 star hotel but can provide a decent stay
