Amazing place for both adults and children. Lots to do, great food and places to eat. Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Comfortable room with nice beds and very clean.

It’s super dirty

The outdoor pool was also extremely cold—so cold that it really wasn’t enjoyable to swim in. Thankfully, the indoor pool was great, and the kids enjoyed that much more. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room was another major disappointment. There was dirt and grime on the walls and floors, and the ceiling fan had what looked like years of dust built up on it. The room definitely needed a much more thorough cleaning. We also had issues with the TVs not working the way they were supposed to, which added to the frustration. Overall, I think the resort has potential, especially for families, but there are definitely areas that need improvement. Being more upfront about the number of pool passes included with each room, improving room cleanliness and maintenance, and addressing the outdoor pool temperature would make a big difference. Okoboji itself is a beautiful area and a very nice place to visit. We enjoyed the town and our family time there.

Not the cleanest hotel and it is pretty rough around the edges. Needs updating and maintenance. Doors stick and are noisy. Rust in areas. Staff not that friendly as well.

It was a great place. Loved the entire experience.

The room, however, has a bad layout if you’re bringing children with pack n plays. The 1 Bedroom Condo room has a one way in, one way out door so you either have to put the babies in the living room with full light or be very quiet when trying to get out the door. The room was also very dirty and could use an update. I would definitely recommend Bridges Bay to others, especially families, but not the 1 bedroom condo. Bigger is needed.

Friendly staff

The staff: was never seen in my building. Dislikes: We noticed piles of towels and garbage bags outside of each of the rooms so immediately came to understand there would probably be no housekeeping. We went to the building where you check in and had to get our own towels to replenish used ones. Amenities: the Bogi Splash water park pool was great but the outdoor pool was overcrowded and was kind of dirty looking in the pool. We thought we had free passes for our family and only got 2. We asked what the best deal would be for 5 of us on day 1 and they said it’s all the same for everyone over 4. On day 2 I noticed a sign outside of the door as you go in that anyone 55+ got in with a discount of approximately $10. When we went on day 2 and asked about this they agreed that would have been a better deal and when we asked about getting a partial refund for day 1 they gave a run around of having to talk to a supervisor, then their credit card machine was not working properly to issue credit, then they would have someone call us. Day 3 we checked out with no call back. Day 4 I called and talked to 2 more people and one of them remembered the prior conversation and said she would have her mgr call us back. Day 6….nobody has returned a call. Poor customer service regarding this matter.

The room and resort are ok. We had 4 people but they would only give 2 passes to the water park. We just wanted to sit by the pool! Ridiculous for what they charge. There is not house cleaning and people are supposed to leave their trash outside the room which makes the hallway stink. The lady at check in was rude but the other staff were nice. Restaurant and bars closed around 9 while we were there. For the money I would stay elsewhere next time. “Third” bed was ridiculous as a bunk bed. It wasn’t made up and was too close to the ceiling for it to be functional. Only 1 wall unit but nothing in the second bedroom. Bed frame was broken or bad on lower bed.

It is a very family friendly complex. Staff was very helpful! The room had wrappers left from previous guests and a can was left on the balcony along with grass clippings. Bed quilt had a stain on it which staff immediately replaced.

Still one of favorite locations to escape to. Place is starting to show its age, but still location location location
-
The rooms are in need of updating and the water park was not easy to gain access
-
We could hear alot of noice from rooms above and next to us.

Room reserved for 6 people, however only 2 pool bracelets awarded? I was asked to pay each day for my third of a six person paid room. Seemed like everyone in that reservation should be granted a wristband. Indoor service for alcoholic beverages was a slumping staff, reviewing her personal mobile phone was off putting. The front office staff was polite. The room was clean. The instructions for room service were clear. The swim up bar didn’t have an advertised Bracco Sunset due to mango machine being out of service. Bar staff accommodating, however. Seemed ice cream was always unavailable. Ordered a Brandy Alexander & was unfortunately informed the bar was out of ice cream… disappointed 😔

They tell you to put your towels in the hall by your door and they will replace them, however twice we had to go get towels from the frint desk in the main building ourselves.

The resort itself was ok. The weather was off and on with rain. The afternoon that we checked in was beautiful, so we were terribly disappointed to find the outdoor water park closed. The next day, they were open, but the weather was cool and it rained off and on. Just not a great experience. We had a suite next to us with children that were screamers. Our room was clean, but the armoire was old and rattled when we walked around. The shower was noisy. Overall, they simply need to update and fix things. It was a very expensive stay, and not worth the money.

Excellent front desk staff - we encountered a discrepancy with the booking.com description of our accommodations compared to the actual room. Bridges Bay staff went above and beyond to find different accommodations for us within the resort. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor waterparks and Skyrider attraction located at the resort and appreciated being able to view the 4th of July fireworks from our very own patio. The location was fantastic as we had easy access to events in Arnold's Park, Okoboji, and Spirit Lake, as well as Mass in nearby Milford - all within 1/2 to 3 1/2 miles from Bridges Bay. Parking was not a problem, even on such a busy weekend. Hotel staff was quick to answer questions and knowledgeable about local activities, plus they delivered a hair dryer to our suite within minutes of the request. Would recommend a stay here! No complaints - excellent stay!

The staff at front desk were helpful. The condo had goldfish cracker on the floor, and row of staples on the floor. It also had a pretzel in the pullout, and red candy stuck to the bottom of the pullout mattress.

We understand that maintenance or operational needs sometimes require temporary interruptions, but better communication would have made a big difference. A simple notice letting guests know the water would be unavailable would have allowed everyone to plan accordingly. We still enjoy the resort and appreciate many of its amenities, which is why we returned, and we hope they improve communication with guests when situations like this arise.

When we arrived we saw a sign saying the pool was closed for repairs, this was the outdoor lazy river which we were looking forward to. I asked about a discount and was given none
