Very nice property, some evidence of wear on chairs and in bathroom

Our room was nice and comfortable but I was disappointed the sofa had leather cushions that were extremely worn, leather split and thread bare areas.

We booked a two room suite. The room was very spacious, but in desperate need of updating. It was very rundown. At appeared clean enough, but it was hard to tell. We had a full bath and a half bath which was nice. However, since we were on the ground floor and the room had two sets of glass patio doors (one in living area and one in bedroom area), it did not give you a sense of safety. Nothing happened. It was quiet when we were there. We were also told we would have a view of the golf course. We mostly saw the picnic area and volleyball court. Not the golf course really. We did not eat the free breakfast because the resort did not give us a feeling of cleanliness. There was a bar/restaurant in the building, but we did not eat there either. Since it was after Labor Day, the area was not as busy as it probably is during the summer peak. For the price of over $200.00 per night, I expected better.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, older and outdated. On a golf course and fun swimming pool geared toward kids. Lived that there was a restaurant on premises. Had the pizza and was okay but nothing great. Nice breakfast buffet. Biggest drawback was mildew smell at times in room revealing how outdated hotel is but was very clean everywhere.

It’s fairly dated property don’t expect too much and you will be fine. The hot tub in the room didn’t work.

The photos of the beat up furniture and run down rooms that I saw in the reviews do not reflect our room or experience at all. I was nervous upon arriving and delighted when it was one of those situations where the reviews let me down. I would happily stay here again.

Staff members were helpful, room was clean and it was nice to have a great little patio with chairs too!

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Went to swim in the outside pool and there was a dead mouse in it, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Full of leaves and just dirty. Talked to the desk and they said they would have maintance look at it the next day.....GROSS!!!!The room had holes in the walls, the chair was so worn the faux leather was torn away. The breakfast area had a water dripping ceiling. The carpet was soaked, with just a wet wet floor sign. A hole in the wall is more sanitary than this place.

Staff were very courteous and efficient. Room was clean and in very good condition. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Simply outstanding breakfast! Plenty of parking and quiet. Overall, an excellent experience.

Our stay was pleasant. The only item needing improvement, was regarding the restaurant. Sunday evening we planned to have pizza in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not have adequate staff. The wait time would have been over an hour. Our group along with two others who were waiting to be seated, left and went to another restaurant.

Had a 1/4 roll of TP when we arrived and no refill. Toilet wobbled at each use. Accent chair was very old and worn on the arms and the seat. Nobody answering the phone after midnight. No elevator.

Older place but room was clean and comfortable, and pool was nice. Breakfast was standard and didn’t go to the restaurant but the pizza and bar looked good. Overall Decent priced hotel for Okoboji.

Definitely needs some upgrades.

What a nice surprise. I was a bit skeptical about staying there based on some of the reviews and wow was I impressed. The room was spacious, staff very friendly, the putting surface in the back yard was in great shape and we had fun playing on it. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Apparently it's under new ownership and it must be making a difference.
