Reviews

Great location, friendly staff and nice restaurant.
-
The bar/restaurant is extremely well run and managed. Our only issue was the breakfast. We stayed 4 nights but only ate breakfast once. Anything you get that is warm goes freezing in minutes as the plates aren’t warmed. That put us off returning again and we simply went to Waffle House next door. Other than that. The place is great with everything at the bar and restaurant being reasonably priced.

This was not the greatest experience for us. Half of the floor was soaking wet. The A/C must have been broken causing a major . We notified the front desk, hoping for some kind of discount, but nothing was offered. We are super nummed about this place and was hoping for some kind of discount for the inconvenience it caused.

We had a great stay. Kendall, who worked at the restaurant, was particularly helpful and kind! Definitely recommend staying here!

Additionally, it's supposed to be a non-smoking property, but people smoke in the parking lot and the grounds around there are littered with cigarette butts, especially near the picnic table by the dog walk. If you're going to have a non-smoking property, enforce that, and clean up after those who are too rude to do that for themselves. Love the dog trail through the woods, the pool, the view, and especially Miles at the front desk!

We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was very nice and clean.

Staff was amazing. From the front desk clerk to the maintenance man working by the pool. Everyone was warm welcoming and friendly. They all spoke about how much they loved their jobs, and as someone who spent their career in retail, it blew my mind. They spoke of how the GM really cared about the people. It seems like he has built an amazing team, where everyone is valued and appreciated. And because of that, this place was amazing! I will definitely stay here again, and give the hotel brand my business.

Loved the location and the front office staff ( special mention “ Chelsea” .. her name is spelt a little different .. but she was warm and attentive during my check in on July 3rd .
-
The good news is that there's a Waffle House just down the hill from the motel.

This hotel has a large type field to it, by design, and doesn’t deed sport of view of the nearby mountains if you were on the correct side. The pool area is very pretty with the same Mountain View, but the pool is awfully cold! Still, it’s a pretty setting, and I utilized it. They provided breakfast is average but satisfactory, and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There’s kind of a nice nature trail directly behind the hotel, though it is very short, it is still pretty. The dinner menu at the restaurant is limited and out of four nights, we only chose to eat there once. Proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Asheville is straightforward and not far. Though the hotel is well-maintained, I frequently had to go to another floor for ice since the machine on the fourth floor never seemed to work. Room was average, but quite comfortable, including the beds. I was still taken aback by how much more they charge for the very same room on a weekend compared to a weekday. Literally twice the price! Asheville itself is small with a lot of creative artwork of all kinds available in many shops. The highlights of Asheville of course was the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is simply beautiful, and the equally beautiful and stunning (but in a different way) Biltmore mansion. I had no desire to go, but at the urging of my wife, I did, and I was floored by the entire experience. Technologically advanced for its time, to say the least. Would stay at this hotel again, too
