Room was clean and breakfast was fine.

Friendly staff

Outside property rough. Lobby nice. Room nasty, carpet very soiled, beyond dirty, all furniture all scraped and looked like chewed on. Headboard on both beds shredded and dirty. Moldy mildew smell. I just felt dirty just standing in the room. We only stayed 5 minutes in room before we felt we had to get out of there before we caught something. Checked out 5 minutes after checking in. Felt like an hourly rate hotel, not some place you should bring your kids to. Pool was closed, desk person said closed permanently, not just for “repairs” as advertised. Hotel Should be closed fumigated and totally renovated from scratch, instead of the promises of renovation”soon” as stated on the website for the past 3 years. Do not recommend at all. Just ugh!

The air conditioner was very noisy.

Front desk clerk was excellent, very nice a pleasant, check-in and out was easy. Room required updates, peeling wallpaper, leaking faucets, peeling ceiling paint, a little dusty in rooms and stairs. Breakfast was just average needs to be fresher.

The hotel in its current condition is not worth the price we paid for our one night stay. I was told renovations are coming. In its current state, prices should not be what they are even if there are a lot of things going on in Ashland.

The people at the front desk were friendly The room is was very worn down. No extra coffee pods. I small bar of soap. Very little amenities. I stayed only 2 days but it stayed cleaning was every 3 days. I also found the breakfast kitchen staff to very grumpy

The hotel is old. Most of the reviews state that plainly, and I understand they are going to be starting a remodel soon. The pool is permanently closed, I assume until the remodel.With all of that said the room was very comfortable, the bed slept well, overall a positive stay.

Old rundown rooms

The hotel rooms need to be updated. There were carpet stains on the floor and water stains on the ceiling. All the furniture in the room was old, scratched, and chipped. The hair dryer didn’t work and there was hair in the tub when we arrived. The price was reasonable so with the conditions of the rooms, I didn’t complain. I guess it’s true the saying,”you get what you pay for.”

Worst breakfast bar I’ve ever experienced never in my life have I ever witnessed a breakfast that had ziplocked waffles to throw in a half reliable toaster. I don’t complain usually but to have waffles in a ziplock bag in which we don’t know when it was “made” and put in a ZIPLOCK BAG and no waffle iron honestly left me speechless. And the beds were too hard

I mistakenly booked for Asheville Ohio instead of Asheville KY and couldn’t get a refund…. 108 $ down the drain for no reason…

the place in general was clean but not high standard clean. staff was courteous

We had a room reserved for 5 people but they didn't have a place for 5. They told us that one person could sleep in an upright chair and we were not getting our money back.

Hotel is ready for total restoration. Worn carpets, paint pealing, air vent in bathroom nasty with dirt build up, sloppy caulk job around toilet, just overall generally depressing. Ready for rehab. See above.

Check in was quick and staff was very friendly. Property was well taken care of and room was very clean!!
