Arden Forest Inn

Such a peaceful getaway and easy walk to downtown ashland. I'm very happy that I decided to stay here to experience the neighborhood culture of Ashland instead of staying on the main stretch of Inns. There were so many deer and other wildlife in the garden! Also, the hosts were very nice and accommodating. 100% recommend!

It was a decent walk into town It was tired. Many of the items as described were embellished. For example, the room description read as if we would have a kitchenette in our room. However, it was a shared kitchenette. We booked the property specifically because it had a pool. When we arrive, we asked the Inn keeper about it, and he said that the pump had broken recently, but it should still be warm. There is a decaying pump next to a fence that looked like it had been broken for years; the water was too cold for my husband to even get in. The cushions on the iron lounge chairs were so thin and thread bare making them very uncomfortable. I paid more for a king bed, but we quickly learned that we had two twins pushed together. Not the same. Everything in the room was clean, although the towels were old and fraying. The linens were washed with a detergent that had a heavy fragrance, making it very difficult to sleep. Finally, there were no flowers in this garden. The landscaping was overgrown, making making me feel that we had overpaid for a property that had been forgotten.

Terrific in all aspects. Look forward to returning.

No breakfast : good location.

Location was great--within walking distance of town. Room was very comfortable (though a bit dated). The grounds were wonderful--big yard with places to sit outside. We had a private and lovely patio outside our room. Pool was too small to swim in, but at least, there was a pool. We desperately needed A/C because of 100 degree plus temperature and it functioned well. A bonus was free coffee and a large refrigerator in the guest's kitchen. Pool was too small to swim in.

Charming B&B walkable to downtown Ashland. Gracious hosts with a friendly welcome, offered info on local favs. Comfortable room and bed. Pool a big bonus!

The hosts were wonderful. Very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The room was very well-appointed and very comfortable. The pool was an added bonus, and the grounds were very relaxing.

Quiet and comfy, easy walk...

A quiet room with a private entrance and nice outdoor areas for relaxation. A small kitchenette is shared by all with free coffee in the morning to drink in the garden.

Great proximity to theaters. Sweet rustic rooms with a private patio. Community kitchen. Not enough ice and our food was stolen.

We really liked our cozy, well-appointed room, the pool to cool off, and the walking distance into town. Arden Hills was perfect for our three days at the OSF.

Loved our private patio and the garden and the pool. Just lovely. The location is slightly too far for easy walking to the theater at night, so you need to plan accordingly. the room we had was clean and spacious. Lovely small cabana off the sweet back yard with flowers and two areas to sit and enjoy the shade or night evening complete with a pool?! Nice walk to the park and easy parking. Just heavenly and sweet. The bed sheets were unfortunately washed with perfumed detergent. Hotels never do that and I forgot to call ahead and ask them to hold the endocrine disrupters/asthma irritant perfume.

This is a quiet garden setting where we will be happy to stay in the future. We loved the pool and outdoor sitting spots. Relaxing and beautiful!
