Hotel was lovely. My new favorite place to stay in Athens.

The main complaint about this hotel is that it's loud. We were next to an adjoining room and could literally hear the conversation next door so asked to be moved. They provide earplugs for the train that goes by the hotel, but if I returned, I would ask for a room that's not adjoining. The gym wasn't open just yet which will add to the amenities and the restaurant is fabulous. The bakery/coffee was fair, so I'd go somewhere else for breakfast.

We always have a great stay at the Rivwt House. The restaurant is beyond amazing! It is always the highlight of our trip!

Second stay at this property and will stay again. It is well maintained and a true gem of a place for Athens. Still think it is better for couples travel and the bathroom set up is a little awkward if you have children of a certain age.

...the place is beautiful. The rooms are luxurious. We had a 3rd floor room and the stunningly high ceilings and almost floor to ceiling windows gave a great show during an intense thunder storm. There are train tracks right outside the window that slow moving trains regularly pass but (not loud but you hear them at night). It says parking is $25 dollars but that to valet and you can choose to self park right outside the hotel in the valet lot The less than ideal: The walls are super thin. We can detail our next door neighbors issues with the bridesmaid if asked and we heard the TV on all night. The location is removed from downtown Athens so you'll need to drive to go anywhere. The Bad... The $150 deposit for incidentals was held for 7 days before being returned. This is such a frustrating thing considering there is no real reason for the delay once they have cleaned your room and noticed there is nothing missing or charges to the room. When checking in we were told they hold the deposit for 1-2 days. When I called the hotel 6 days later asking about I was first given a the run around until finally talking to someone who said there is a 5-7 business day hold. Again for no reason.

Overall the Rivet was clean and beautifully kept up. The staff was quick and courteous. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is the train. The hotel is about 50 ft from an active rail line. At 2 in the morning I was abruptly woken by the rattle of train cars passing just outside the window. If the sound prodding was a bit better this would have been an issue. Still a great experience otherwise.

Beautiful and unique property. Staff was great and room was very nice. I’d stay again.

AMAZING!! Will be back in the area next year so I know where I'll be staying. The entire place is better than the pictures.

The room was clean. The property was beautiful. The staff seemed to be very young and not well trained. On the positive side most are extremely nice.

Loved the boutique feel and industrial loft aesthetic. Excellent dinner at the restaurant. My room was next-door to the train tracks although it did not bother me. The larger issue was sound bleed between the rooms. I could hear neighbor conversations clearly. There is a longer walk if you self park. I hope to try the spa next time!

We had a wonderful stay in a king corner room. The room was small, but adorable. The air conditioning worked so well and the mattresses and pillows were fantastic. The staff was incredible. My daughter forgot her iPad and they called and emailed to make sure we came back.

The hotel provides a great overall experience.

The modern atmosphere and friendly staff contributed to a pleasant stay.

The property was very beautiful! The parking situation was absolutely horrible. There were no clear instructions on where to go and $25 per day for valet unless you want to walk all the way from a very very far away lot with all of your luggage and things. There’s also a $300 ADDITIONAL hold placed on your card upon checkin, I know this is standard but these should have been made more clear prior to arriving. Additionally the rooms are nice, but very very thin walls we could hear so many people and also the train that’s right outside the window wasn’t the best way to stay well rested. Will not choose this option again

Great ambience and atmosphere! Very comfortable bedding!

Staff quite professional, friendly, upbeat and attentive to detail. Big kudos to Leland for going out of her way to deal personally, professionally and thoroughly with a matter of concern to my stay. You should be proud. While a bit removed from the city center, I would certainly be back here again.

Sleepless night. The back of the hotel faces active train tracks. Many complaints about the night long extremely loud noise from trains coming through. Makes it nearly impossible to sleep!!! The hotel promotes a "new level of relaxation." What you will be doing is cursing under breath at the ridiculously load train noises right outside your window. My wife and I woke up exhausted from a sleepless night. A waste of money if you can't sleep while paying for a hotel.

We stayed while a youth travel team was on there from Macon. Tried to enjoy drinks in the bar late evening but the parents were also there which totally fine but the kids kept running around, in and out, yelling. Parents yelling at the kids etc… it was just a little much at 10:30 in the evening when other guest were attempting to enjoy an after dinner drink in a bar that’s vibe is a little more low key and posh. It was obvious the bartenders and staff were also annoyed but they weren’t in a place to say anything to the disruptive guest. Have stayed at the OG Old Edwards Inn - was hoping for more of that upscale service. Guest reps at desk were pleasant. Will return for UGA move in as we had already booked our few days. Hoping for an over all better experience. Stayed in a corner room right by the train track. Wasn’t as loud as others had mentioned.
