Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown

I could tell it used to be a high end hotel, but it for sure needs someone to pay attention to the details. Towels and bedding were stained or worn out and faded. Curtains hanging, and other maintenance that was fixed but looks rough. The staff were great and very friendly. Breakfast was good, but the glasses, coffee cups, and silverware were all dirty every morning. There was just a generally lack of detail and attention to important areas.

There were a few things that didn’t quite work as they should. Minor inconveniences are minor, but when you pay a premium price for accommodations, I tend to assume things will be in excellent working order. A couple of USB ports in the room didn’t work. Neither the stand up lamp or desk lamp worked. The shampoo bottle in the shower was labeled as body wash. The restaurant was understaffed, but it’s small and probably not very busy most times. We were there for a festival, so maybe there were more patrons than normal. I just felt they could possibly have been more prepared with scheduling. Over all, a very good experience and I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the aesthetic of the hotel and room, proximity to Marta, and walking neighborhood. Staff were accommodating and friendly. There were issues with our curtain sheers not closing properly, nail polish stains on sheets, awfully flat pillows, and a sinking mattress. Not having a refrigerator was a bit of a bummer as well. Overall, we had a nice 3-night stay.

Breakfast price is expensive- would suggest getting out for breakfast elsewhere. Aside from that, Canopy is a great staple hotel to stay at!

The midtown location is wonderful for strip to Atlanta. This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first time I chose it for location; the second for the location and service. I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room and I believed it was placed a bit far from the elevator.
