Everything, staff was very helpful and kind.

The location is good. It smelled like cigarette smoke and something else I can’t name, in the hallways and my room. I’m very sensitive to the smell and had to check out. There was a bug on the sheet of my bed. This hotel and its rooms are in great need of a cosmetic renovation. The outside looks better. Front desk clerk was very nice and understanding and she got me refunded for the rest of my stay. The location is decent.

The rooms had potential with the kitchenette but was just outdated. The manager and the check in receptionist were nice! Upon arriving, the room I was first put in on the first floor was dirty with stains and the sofa bed was nasty. The toilet didn't even flush. I asked for an extra blanket and was told that they couldn't give out any extra linens without a manager present.

The problems already mentioned.

I had to check out less than an hour into my stay when I realized there were at least 2 different types of bugs in and on the bed! I am so disgusted. Stained curtains, stained wall decor. Dingy, dirty, disgusting.

I checked out 63 days early and was only comfortable sleeping there the 1 night. The space is “very dated” old and warn cabinetry and electronics. The television was only a 13” screen and wasn’t a smart TV. They stated that I must borrow posts and pans and other cookware IF it was available and return them in 12 hours. The bathroom didn’t even have a TP holder!! All in all the facilities are sub par.

Friendly Staff Antiquated door key technology led to many instances of coming back to the hotel and the key not working. Water was off for 2 consecutive days during my stay, leading me to leave before the end of my stay. Was told no refunds by hotel staff despite this, and had to contact booking.com for a refund, for which they requested documentation that I was not asked for over the phone but via email, leading me to leave the hotel before obtaining any documentation.

The shower curtain rod is not securely attached and so the curtain falls to the middle of the tub. I used paperclips to hold the curtain closed but it needs a couple of screws. I could not get the TVs to accept the HDMI cable so that we could watch the premium channels that we own. The cover on the couch needs to be washed and put on correctly. The kitchen floor had not been mopped. I used some cleaning towels given to me by the manager to clean the floors because the mop she offered me was so filthy it would not have cleaned anything at all. The carpet needed a good vacuuming. The problems were minor and did not diminish the good stuff much at all, it was a pleasant stay and I would consider staying again when we come back to Michigan.
