Days Inn by Wyndham Austin

Arrived a property and walked into a very strong odor and employee's children running in hallway. When entering room it smelled like a locker room. Checked the bed and there were stains on the top duvet cover and also long hairs. Pulled back to look at duvet and there were also stains and hair down to the sheets. Floor was sticky and looked as if it was not swept as there was hair, food and a contact on the floor. Room was considered a suite so it had a small couch that was also covered with hair. The bathroom had stained towels, water standing in the tub and the floor was dirty. We exited the room went to the front desk explained situation. No resolution or compensation offered so we immediately checked out and left.

I’ve stayed at this hotel previously. My stay this past weekend was pretty weak. The air conditioner was bad at keeping the room cool, the amenities in the room were extremely sparse, the breakfast bar was grim too. Normally, I’d not have even mediocre expectations, but it cost almost $100 for one night, although I’m not sure if that’s an indictment of this hotel or the economy.

I got a room on the 1st floor. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. It was easy to park there. I felt safe. I'd certainly stay there again.

Bed was very comfortable

This is a regular spot during out Austin visits. It's a real bargain for a clean and comfortable sat. We can walk or easily drive to many destinations

immediately. Sheets felt damp, but they were clean. As you noticed we only stayed one night and not 2 like we had planned. Bathroom was okay but we just didn't feel comfortable in there. Rooms should be aired out or something. It was hard for to decide because we wanted to see more things. So we packed up and did go to a few more places we wanted to see. So it was not a total bust. The place was very clean , the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Barely a breakfast. Milk was in a jug, plastic cups, etc. The room was decent, but the carpet was very worn and stained. Hated to walk barefoot. Tried not to look at the sheets, etc. Slept and left early the next morning.

Stay away from we were treated very poorly the room was disgusting with sand dog hair and grass on the floor when entering the room. The bathroom had bad smells and was not clean. The staff we reported to said we can clean it tomorrow and this was a lie. I lost money because we could not stay another night, they argue with the customers, the breakfast was horrible, they lie to the customers and do not do what they say. The check in was a nightmare even after pre-completing it online, took Forever!

Easy on/off the interstate, abundant parking, close proximity to various restaurants, attractions, activities.

Works for an overnight when traveling.
