Aloft by Marriott Austin Southwest

I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere of this Aloft. Super friendly staff, a lobby/bar area that is fun to hang out in, and its convenient (for me) location. During our latest stay here, we were dismayed to find the lobby area in need of a good cleaning when we came down to get some coffee and breakfast. A cleaner showed up while we were eating, but maybe start earlier? At 7:30 a.m., tables were tacky, chairs were dirty, everything felt like it needed to be washed down before we could sit and eat. This is the second time we have stayed here when the lobby has felt like it’s been taken over by kid sports teams - although they have been generally friendly and respectful.

Pool and coffee were good. Didn’t eat there. Hotel tries to go with a different vibe. Bright colors, very limited storage in actual rooms. No enclosed closets, etc. Received one bottle of water for two people, over a four day period. Also, hotel doesn’t state at time of booking that rooms are cleaned every other day - not every day. They can keep their vibe.

the bed felt like falling into a box of Kleenex.. the pillows were horrible. There's no regular chair in the room just a corner couch and a square pillow ottoman.. I shared my comments on the way out the door to the person at the front desk.. MAYBE that got shared with the responsible parties,,,

Instead of feeling welcomed or treated like a valued guest, I felt like I was an inconvenience. Simple requests were met with an attitude, and the lack of professionalism and customer service was shocking. This employee’s behavior was so unpleasant that it genuinely ruined the ending of what had been an otherwise perfect trip. When people travel, especially after spending their hard-earned money on accommodations, they should not have to deal with a hotel employee who is lazy, dismissive, and seemingly uninterested in doing their job. Management seriously needs to address the level of customer service being provided at the front desk. One rude and inattentive employee like Kit, can completely change a guest’s impression of an entire hotel—and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened here.

Great place to stay when visiting Austin- quiet, peaceful location with lots of eating establishments within 10 minutes. Staff were very accommodating.

Perfect location. We’ve stayed here a couple of times now and the customer service has been excellent! We have a daughter in college so we will definitely be back and stay here again when we visit her

The beds were super comfortable! The staff is great! The check in man & check out lady were super friendly and helpful!! I have stayed in Aloft many times, and they are always nice!!

It was an average facility.

This is a fantastic hotel. Loved the pool and the lobby. It's near my kids apartment, and I'll stay here whenever there's not room for me there.
