Hampton Inn by Hilton Austin East Side 5th Street

The pool, the breakfast, the early check-in, the staff... I honestly don't have much to say as I had a very enjoyable 24h. However, I left my luggage in storage the last day so I could enjoy the neighborhood a little before flying out. When I came back, it was gone because left unattended by the staff (for a very short period of time) and swapped by an absent-minded guest who thought it was his friend's luggage. In the end, all was well thanks to the very mindful and dedicated team but I must admit that even if I perfectly understand human imperfection, I spent a very worrying hour wondering how I would fly back without my belongings and my computer (sole mean of earning a living). All this to say, thank you to the staff for fixing the mistake so promptly and carefully, however, the storage system probably needs to be updated.

The GPS brought us down a very sketchy road which was not comforting at all, until we turned down the driveway. The facility was very well kept. The staff was great. The parking garage was an additional $35 per night that was unexpected but worth it as I didn’t feel comfortable parking on the street. The room was clean. The breakfast was probably one of the best hotel option’s that I’ve ever had. 9/10 recommend
