Residence Inn Austin Lake Travis/River Place

My only pain point is that there was hair everywhere in my room and hair all in the pool. Also, the walls and doors could use a wipe down. I booked last minute so I may have gotten a pet room, however, I will likely book again and just stay on a different floor.

The property was good overall.

Room was spacious, hotel was very well appointed, staff were nice, and it was close to everything we wanted to do while here for the weekend in Austin. The free parking was an added bonus! Stairwells and hallways were a little warm but that was the only thing.

Staff was very apologetic and quickly got us into a new room.

Breakfast needs soooo much help!!!! I went down 2 days in a row and it was absolutely no good at all. Not enough selection need to add some kind of potato, the eggs were watery, and the OJ was pretty much gross flavored water and the apple juice tasted spoiled. The room was nice though.

I love it

The room was very nice. There was a weird smell and the stairwell was stinky. Other than that, the room was great, great bed, very large and clean property.

Location was good. AC worked well. Breakfast was good. Television and remote didn’t work very good. Indoor pool flooring is very slippery and dangerous.

It was adequate, but the room felt dark. I think I'm starting to want slightly more upscale accommodations.

Needs maintenance

Generally good room, some minor defects. Lousy pillows (might be good for some, but not me-and they were all the same. Had to put a towel underneath to make it high enough. No luggage carts available when we arrived. Fast check-in and out. Wish they would have told me that maid service was only every other day, so I could have brought in extra coffee pods.

We were checked in quickly and politely. Our first room was clean and tidy, however the. Air conditioner unit was loud and the front desk was able to change our room and we slept like a baby. We will definitely be back. Great customer service. Good breakfast selection.
