Residence Inn Austin-University Area

We were allowed to check in early which was good. The place is under renovation so during the day (M-S) there's alot of noise and action. The biggest issue was the A/C, sounded like an airplane taking off when on and it right next to the bed.

Under renovations during stay. Gym not available and A/C not working in lobby. Otherwise, fine. Working lock on door and had hot water in room.

No mention of the pool or gym being unavailable when booking the reservation. Get there and the lobby is 83 degrees, hotel under renovation. AC in the room was so loud we couldn't sleep. Had to transfer to another room after reporting it to management having an exhausting day and no sleep. The credit for the inconvenience was not reflected on my credit card charge even though it was on my final bill I received via email.

It was good. Hotel is under construction. They never asked if I was a rewards member

Hotel was out of hot water for 2 days but they worked diligently to get it fixed. I also had issue with housekeeping not coming to clean my room as expected but front desk also addressed this issue. Location is great with many options to shop and eat within walking distance which is the main reason I stay here. Hopefully maintenance and housekeeping issues were isolated.

I never checked in to this hotel. I got ther and was told they had no water in some rooms and only cold water in others. I found another place to stay.

The location and rooms were fantastic and the staff was polite and professional. The breakfast was something to not smile about. There was no fresh fruit, other than an apple or orange. No pancake or waffle station. The muffins were shrink wrapped Otis Spunkmeyer, how about a tray of muffins that are fresh along with bagels and bread station? The oatmeal station was nothing to write home about. Lastly, the I'd suggest revamping this a little to match the other breakfasts like the Hyatt offers.

Nice big space. The room is really comforting. At night, it’s darkly lit. Also, why charge a parking fee when it’s right in a huge parking lot?

Great stay

We were not comfortable. Good thing we only stayed one night. When we travel to Louisiana we always stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. This is the first time we have not been satisfied. The property is old, and it is in need of renovation. The carpet, furniture and bathrooms all need an upgrade. There is a bad smell. Something is definitely wrong with the plumbing.

Good location, staff was friendly and helpful, very clean

Room was nice, clean. Front staff was helpful. Breakfast was good and they had plenty of options. Coffee was good and hot. It was warm in the hallways but room cooled down very quickly.

The location ! Is one of the best locations available A lot of business close by You can even walk to get the basics The parking lot

Excellent customer service!

No ice in the hotel at all! The doors are broken and don’t work to get into the hotel. We asked the staff if there was something wrong with our key. Both of their responses were “no those doors are broken and have been for a while.”
