Great location close to downtown and Soco. Plenty of great options to eat inside the hotel and in the area. Nice pool and amenities. Great staff. Stay there with my husband for four nights, we had a great time.
-
Bad service the ac doesn’t work.
-
TVs didn’t work, had to call maintenance twice for ‘no signal’

Enjoyed food at Grey. Greatvroom service cleaning. Nice pool and Veracruz very good food. Very centralized to all activities wanted to do.

Great location! Friendly staff!

When we first arrived, the property looked unique and fun! But in reality, it’s in desperate need for a deep clean. All the furniture in the lobby is stained, there’s dirty carpet in the elevators. It was strange how low the beds were and that they were a platform. The “dresser” in the closet was a 2 drawer end table that had seen better days. There were drinks and snacks in the room, but no way to weigh to indicate you “purchased” and no price list. The live TV channels never worked. The pool area was nice, the restaurants were good. Overall, I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Disliked: mediocre reception / concierge staff. Acted as if they were doing me a favor but then didn't follow through. Disliked: 1st room location faced Cesar Chavez St- street noise was obnoxious! Sirens and traffic kept me up until 2am. I may as well have been trying to sleep on the sidewalk in NYC. I switched rooms to river side. Disliked: lighting in bathrooms horribly dim Disliked: bars stopped serving at 11pm

I've stayed at the LINE twice, and I really like the creative decor, relative to typical chain hotels. The pool is very pleasant and relaxing (with an adjacent bar) and the view from the restaurant on the 6th floor is great, looking over the river. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Walking distance from much of downtown Austin. My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom is a bit dim, but they provide a lighted mirror which helps. Oh, and I'm not a fan of the "resort fee," I'd rather have everything included in the cost. Still, I'd be happy to stay here again when in Austin.

Overall it’s ok. The restaurants and bars close at 11, even on the weekends, which wasn’t great. I had to move rooms because of maintenance noise. The phones in both rooms didn’t work. I cut my knee on an exposed screw on the chair. The ice machine rooms were odd and the door to the room had been kicked in. The staff wasn’t super friendly. Louis at the front desk was great but the bartenders at the outside bar and the front desk staff seemed like they didn’t want to help us. One of the bartenders inside was great, but the others weren’t friendly. When I asked to switch rooms, it was like pulling teeth. The pool is lovely. There was a security incident on the day I was there, but that happens. Security handled it. It’s a great location too. Just wish the staff were friendlier and more helpful.

I booked a room with a city view. While checking in, the front desk asked if I would be willing to change rooms, I agreed. When we got to the room out view was a wall. I called the front desk and they swiftly made it right and gave us a room with a great view.

Hotel could use some refreshing, from the rooms to the pool. The rooms are showing age, while the pool walls and floors were very beat up. The Vera Cruz taco stand mad all that moot as we loved that place. Staff was super friendly, parking valet was fairly fast friendly but I'd preferred to self park. Location is a bonus as it's very close to dining, bat bridge, and entertainment.

Best place to stay in downtown Austin

Didn’t meet my expectation at all.

We had a great stay! Conveniently located to walk downtown. Pet friendly, huge plus for my baby doggo (who is like my child), quiet, room service was tasty. Seriously the only thing I could even say, is the shower is beautiful, but the glass panel allowed for a splash factor which wet the bathroom floor. But overall, we will be back with no complaints!

Fantastic location and great for our family trip as close to bats. Vera Cruz restaurant was delicious!

I always stay at The Line when visiting Austin. It's a great location right on the lake and near South Congress which is my favorite shopping area. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the shower is amazing. All 3 restaurants are worth checking out. The pool is relaxing in the morning and a fun social whirl later in the day.

In Austin because of the beautiful view of town lake. Stay in a high floor and request a view of Town Lake. We would like to thank Carolina who upgraded us to the “Bridge Suite” on the 7th and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was crowded but there were plenty of towels and seating for everyone. Even busy the line at the bar was only 2 people. Place your order for Veracruz tacos early because they take a while but are SO worth the wait. The Barbacoa was so tasty! Later that evening we watched the bats from our room just after the sun set. Always fun! In the morning the room service arrived on time and everything was prepared perfectly. In my opinion you can judge a hotel by how the room service operates, and this was perfect. The açaí bowl was delicious. The only one thing was that one side of the room looked down onto the AC/maintenance part of the building, but we had 3 sets of windows so that did not bother me. We did not eat at Arlo Grey but have before and it’s good - the idea is to sit next to the window so you can watch the boats go by on town lake. We love this hotel and will be back!

Great location and atmosphere. Very clean. Food was good. Bed comfy. Its odd to say but I ordered Coca Cola twice from the desk and I still haven't got it lol. Overall nice hotel though!

Great view on the Lake View rooms. The rooms looked sparse and it looked like the main bedroom just had a paint refresh. The bathroom looked like it was new but it didn’t have a bathroom fan for privacy and freshness. The LINE is the old Radisson with a refresh and you can tell that a lot of the refresh is the main lobby and the bathrooms inside the hotel rooms. The beds are also low profile in case that matters to anyone. Regarding parking, you have to pay based on their hourly valet rates or else find free parking somewhere else which isn’t feasible. I chose to pay the $56 overnight valet rate. Last but not least, the food at the Veracruz restaurant attached to it as well as the cocktails and fresh fruit juices were delicious.
