A great spot in Austin, convenient to restaurants and entertainment.

We stayed at the W Austin for a birthday trip and a show at Austin City Limits. When we got into bed, one side felt wet. Later in the night, we discovered a large urine stain on the mattress pad, housekeeping had only changed the top sheet. Overnight, the smell intensified and the moisture soaked through my husband’s clothes. The manager refunded our stay and moved us to a nicer room, but when we expressed our frustration the next morning, he said the refund and upgrade were “enough compensation” and even suggested the urine may have come from my husband. There was no follow-through, no apology note, and no gesture of hospitality. We’ve stayed at many luxury hotels, and this response was far below standard for a situation that is clearly a biohazard. Staff elsewhere were great, but this incident and the handling of it were extremely disappointing.

Good location, the property was beautiful and clean. I liked the lotion they have not the watery stuff hotels often provide and they also had a nice fave cleanser that I thought was a nice touch. The room was aesthetically pleasing. I didn’t like that the towels seemed very cheap and there were no slippers provided. Also the espresso machine had no water. The ac could’ve been a bit stronger.

Everything was wonderful and especially liked Suzanne at the front desk, very friendly and professional. Matter a fact I thought she was the manager and turns out she is not. She should be. Everyone was delightful, the food and cocktails were delicious. Loved everything about it. Will definitely be back.

Excellent location Didn’t get the room I paid for, but got and OK deal

The property was very nice and convenient. Great views with quick access to everything within the hotel from coffee and food to drinks and pool. Also in the perfect downtown location with a lot of good restaurants and more within walking distance.

Great location, easy to get around Very nice hotel, great valet service. Everyone at this hotel was very nice and very helpful. In-room service meals were very good. Would stay here again for sure!

Staff were friendly. A lot of construction going on whilst sitting by the pool but overall a great stay

I paid for suite. The bathroom was dirty. There was snot on the shower curtain. The room was right next to the elevator. It was even noisy in the bedroom from the elevator.

I have stayed here before and it was excellent, so I chose to stay here again. Big mistake. I reserved a room for May 16 back on March 23rd. Plenty of advance notice. When we arrived we were informed that our room was not ready yet. We were told that we could relax in the “living room” while we waited for our room. 2 hours after our check-in time and we still didn’t have a room to go get ready in. We were then told that the hotel had a penthouse available for an additional $1200.00. I think not. Why should I pay for their mistake. We were put in a room with a king sized bed, and a cot after asking if we could get ready in their conference room. I was very disappointed this time around, and I think I will look for other places next time I need a hotel.
