La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bakersfield North

I love La Quinta Bakersfield, it was very clean the location was great close to restaurants and Starbucks. I also feel that the parking was safe. Room was huge bed was comfortable. They also have indoor pool that my son loved!The hotel is well maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and very welcoming,I will surely comeback!

The room was clean, free parking, free breakfast, staff was friendly. Dog friendly was a big plus with affordable pet fee.

My spouse and I didn’t know this was a pet friendly hotel. We were the unfortunate ones to book a room on the first floor and be right next to a room with a barking/crying dog. When the owners would leave the room, the dog would make it known it didn’t like being left alone. Crying, barking, and scratching the door well into the night and early morning. This is not the dogs fault, but instead poor owner responsibility. Although we reached out to staff, there was nothing they could do as they stated “we tried calling the owner, but there was no answer.” Not the staffs fault at all, but this will mean we will no longer be staying here in the future.

very clean, and staff was excellent very noisy room that faced the freeway. could hear truckers pulling into denny's all night, dont get a room facing the freeway

Not much. The night clerk told us that she would get maintenance to fix our deadbolt, if not fixable get us another room. We were exhausted so around 9 pm we called and said nevermind and put an ironing board and luggage in front of the door. We did not rest very well and kept waking up throughout the night. The room is worn out and the dresser was stinky. The bathroom was not a handicap room either as requested. The toilet was low and the tub and shower had only a 12 inch bar on the back shower wall.

When we arrived, we were denied paying by cash (bill and deposit too) in a very disrespectful manner, nowhere was this shown during the booking process. The receptionist asked us 3 times if we had pets like we were some idiots, we felt very humiliated. He only gave us one key like a 2nd key is not included in the price. I paid the bill with a card and I gave another card for deposit. They cancelled the original bill payment and charged the deposit card with the bill which made a big trouble for my accounts and also gave me very bad exchange rates. The breakfast is low quality, it's crowded even on a weekday and it's freezing cold in the breakfast area. Also the internet is very slow. I would never stay here again, but I'm happy to go to other Wyndham locations. They did not deserve my business.
