The room was very spacious and has some charm. The hotel overall has had some work done and I can't knock it off too much due to it being a historical building. One thing I did see is that the building did not have an elevator which is fine. When I arrived at the hotel, I requested a room on the second floor but somehow the rooms were not cleaned. This is very surprising since there are roughly 3 to 4 rooms per floor. If you are taller the steps will be a workout for you. Overall, I slept well and enjoyed the quietness. Some things to mention are lack of exits and room service. There is not any room service to refresh any towels or to take out trash. I stayed more than a couple of days so you can imagine a couple of days of takeout filling up the small trash can. If there is an emergency all of the windows are sealed and you would need to still, make it down the stairs which would be a lot considering there are only two ways to exit.

Good location, but rooms need a desperate upgrade. Window boxes are borderline toxic. Staff was great

At first they give me a dirty room

Great stay
-
The ac was so loud couldn’t sleep good and the pillows were as thin as a piece of paper
-
Other than no dining areas like breakfast it’s a well located comfortable hotel with friendly staff in a safe district
-
Check in was at 2 but room wasn't ready till 5. There were holes in the wall of the room and no shampoo or conditioner. Bath towels were small and old and scratchy.
-
The floors in the room were weirdly sticky and tacky, and the AC was functioning but broken as well as one of the lights.
-
FYI: There is NO elevator and my 61 year old ass was placed on the very top floor. I could go on...My advice Do Not Go There!!!

The people that work here are friendly and work with you , the rooms could be better cleaned but overall nice and comfy beds with a/c. Nice place to stay but a little pricey.

The rooms really need to be updated. The outlets in the bathroom don’t work ,But the water was hot, the location was convenient and there were no insects or rodents. Another plus was the inside of the hotel was very quiet. If you need a place to stay for a night or two, this would work.

Although I booked the room for 2 people, the king bed had 2 standard flat pillows and there was one set of towels. The deadbolt was very loose and needed to be repaired. No elevator, long stair case (a by product of the old building) There were also bugs in the bed. The Google said they were carpet beetles and sometimes bit people. How can anyone stay there with bugs in the beds?

I loved my stay at the Mt. Vernon Inn. It's a unique, brightly decorated, reasonably priced hotel in a wonderfully convenient location in Baltimore. We stayed two nights and they were both lovely. Strong A/C was a blessing since it was up in the 90s both days and we were close to sweet neighborhood restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I absolutely LOVE the staircase. If my travels bring me back to Baltimore, I'm definitely coming back.

Great trip

Rooms are tight and dark (not well lit), but clean and historical period-centric. Ownership and staff are friendly, accomidating and interested in feedback. Conveniently located halfway btwn Hopkins and the inner harbor. We are acouple and would sray here again.

We checked in but did no stay. This was not what I expected at all. No pillows, one towel, no parking, painfully slow check in. We found another hotel.
-
This place was disgusting at best. Dirty, smelling and dated. Front desk rude. Never, ever again.
