Fireside Inn & Suites Bangor

Pet friendly. Slept AOK. Dated rugs, musty smell, ultrasonic bug repellent device plugged into the wall, and the parking was congested at times with the busy Irish restaurant next door.

Easy to get to. Staff was so friendly. The restaurant attached was amazing! Room was very unclean. Headboard had not been dusted in ages. There was still hair in the tub and sink from the last guest.

It was a convenient location and clean. The front desk was either unmanned or poorly covered. I tried calling to get the WiFi password. No answer no password! I had a wedding to attend at 4:00PM and I wasn't allowed to get into the room until exactly 3:00 PM. I had asked if I could be texted or called if the room would be available earlier and was told that they didn't do that! The woman at the front desk seemed very grumpy and unappealing waring a face mask to avoid getting my germs.

Not much for the price Location was just ok and the cost was really not worth $200 a night maybe $120 the most.Small room outdated and very noisy you could everything. No breakfast is one of the big hit for the cost of the room. Not sure if it’s an east coast thing, but staff seemed to just get me out of there than to have small talk which made the environment less friendly.

Location, close to the airport which is what we wanted. Saw a lot of vagrants outside. Seedy area. The hotel was really tired. As clean as a maid could get it on surface, but that carpet really needs to be changed. Toilets are like 1980’s style, I think there was a loogie on the wall behind the left side of the tv.

Wasn’t in the room very much but it was nice, the fireplace was a nice touch after a night out.

Good, clean, staff was very accommodating.

Exceptional

Older hotel but well taken care of. The room was clean. We used the washer and drier since we had been on the road for 5 days. Staff was very helpful and made it well known if we needed anything feel free to reach out. The restaurant attached is a don’t miss. The fish and chips was phenomenal as well as their brewery beers. The smoothest beers I’ve tasted at any craft brew ever. Casino is across the street and Paul Bunyon is across from the casino. I would definitely recommend and the price was good.

Very quiet. Temperature of room good. Appreciated they got me into my room earlier since I arrived on redeye. Nice restaurant attached.

The price; $129 plus tax per night. Room and hallway didn't smell good. Overall, the vibe was kinda old/grungy.

Very friendly staff and the location was decent, about 1 hr from Acadia and Bar Harbor. It is a steal compared to the Hotels near the National Park. The hotel is dated but clean. The only reason I gave this 2 stars is due to the beds!!! The most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever encountered at any hotel in my 48 years on Earth. My wife and I woke up in pain and needing to take pain meds to make it through the day. The bed, the floor, no difference…If you like a FIRM bed this will be no problem for you. Staff were great, room was clean, The mattresses were just unbearable.
