Fireside Inn & Suites Bangor

Comfortable beds, nice bedding, excellent Irish pub/ restaurant attached. Very friendly front desk with nice secure parking.

I chose this hotel because it was walking distance to a concert at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. The hotel is very dated and no frills. However the room was clean and the staff was friendly. It's a perfectly fine spot to crash for a couple hours for an event, but if you are looking for something modern with a bunch of amenities, this isn't the spot.

The bathroom and carpets were filthy. The room and whole motel smelled of nasty cigarette smoke. This was a no smoking facility. I would have at least expected a clean bathroom for $427.96 per night. Not sure why I paid that the room was worth $65.00 maximum.

Staff was pleasant but overall wouldnt visit again. Couldn't even buy a bottle of water from a vending machine. Absolutely no amenities...and what they had in there case looked like not so great options.

The guy that checked us in was one of the most miserable human beings I’ve ever met in my entire life. He seemed completely inconvenienced by the fact that we were checking in. We were allowed to check in early, which was nice though. The property itself appears somewhat rundown, and there were homeless people going through the garbage cans and cigarette but dispensers. Our vehicles did stay safe overnight in their lot. The room was definitely dated, but it was clean. Property was quiet and was close to everything that we needed in Bangor, walking. We did not eat at the attached restaurant, although we heard it got great reviews. There was enough green space for our dog to relieve herself as well. We kept her with us during the day though. Overall, if we had to come to Bangor again, we would not stay here.

The property is old and to be honest, the room reminded me of something you'd see in a bad 1970's cop movie. But to be fair, it was clean and well-kept and they tried to keep it modern, but you can only do so much. The towels were thick and absorbent, not the usual thin scratchy hotel towels. The staff was friendly and offered good ideas for local restaurants. An overall good experience, but probably won't be back.

Pet friendly, clean, surprisingly quiet, great restaurant attached, walking distance to waterfront concert and very warm welcoming staff! Perfect for our 1 night stay!

Very clean room. Comfortable king bed and nice gas fireplace. No elevator for 2nd floor guest fyi… Also had a great restaurant/ bar called Geaghans… great food. Only complaint is no water dispenser to fill cups, though front desk filled our cups with her sink. Thanks will stay again

This inn is definitely vintage! Loved the 'look' (personally, I am tired of the big chains with each room the same!) Very quaint but clean. There is a big coffee maker / machine in the hall for your morning brew. Comfy beds, nice TV, quiet location. Attached to the inn is a great Irish pub with amazing food (not open for breakfast). Across the parking lot and one road is a casino. Close to the airport but not so close the plane traffic interferes with sleep. If I ever get back to Bangor, I will be staying here!!

It was fine for the price point.

Location is convenient to downtown Bangor. The check in was easy and receptionist helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable.

Our stay was absolutely amazing!! Wonderful staff, good food at the restaurant, and the chamber maids were super kind and helpful. Definitely recommend.

The property is exceptionally clean, comfy mattresses, and great location especially for concert goers.
