We had an unbelievable stay. The staff was so friendly, the location was perfect and the live music and outside seating couldn’t have been more enjoyable. Highly recommend.

We had to book something for a one night in Bar Harbor and came across this Inn. I’m not a fan of B&B’s usually, but when we drove up to this Inn, we were pleasantly surprised with how cute it was and the liveliness on the front lane. It was a great day with the sun shining and people hung out on the lawn having some drinks and relaxing. It’s right in the heart of downtown, so the location couldn’t have been better. And every person on the staff was very helpful and very sweet! The room was clean and not noisy (even though we were right by the front lawn). We would have stayed another night easily!

great location and musical entertainment on the front lawn!

Only issues was they wanted to kick our friends out of the lawn if they didn’t order a drink and the free breakfast is just muffins and juice.

The room was acceptable; leftovers sat in our mini fridge, and a random stain marked the bed upon arrival. We traveled from Portland, ME to mark our 5 years, and the experience felt somewhat disappointing. My wife and I avoid confrontation and dislike issues, so we discarded the leftovers, and since the stain was on the outter blanket, we simply skipped sleeping with it. Otherwise, the staff remained friendly, and the beer garden impressed; we watched Takoda perform, and I genuinely mean this young artist deserves recognition from American Idol. Close to Acadia, the location proves entirely ideal.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nice but our room was a little small.

For a $320 a night stay, it wasn’t the best. Our bathroom was nothing special, and the toilet kept running the entire time we were there. The room smelled musty, and the upkeep needed some attention. There were quite a few scuff marks on the floor and missing pieces on the curtain rods, nails in the wall with no pictures — sloppy, in my opinion. What’s really upsetting is that just down the road, beachfront views at Bar Harbor Inn, which looked very nice, ranged the same price. Wish I had seen that before booking.

Underwhelmed. Cottage was adorable at first. Not the cleanest, bugs in windows, stains on rugs and chairs, chips on the floor. Woke up to no hot water. The bathroom was clean. Went to front to ask about it and grab “coffee”. Honestly, coffee was similar to motor oil. A keurig would have been a better choice for the lobby. Maintenance came while we were at breakfast. I followed up and was told that I turned off breaker, which I didn’t do. Girl was polite when I asked for a refund for the 2nd night and to check out early. No issue so far with refund. The property is super cute, was looking forward to a fire in the evening but there wasn’t one, even though the staff said there would be. Disappointing but we didn’t let these issues ruin our trip to Bar Harbor.

Just simply perfect

The manor is absolutely beautiful!! We loved the live music in the front yard in the early evening and then fire pits with conversation and relaxation the remainder of the night. The breakfast was simple but very good and the staff were so helpful. The only reason it was not a 5-star is our room (#8) was dark (not enough lighting) and the mirrors in the bathroom were all too high for me to see in (I am 5'3")

Ivy Manor was a great choice for our stay in Bar Harbor! The Inn was cute, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the beds were extremely comfortable - perfect after a long day in Acadia! The outside fires on the lawn weren’t lit during our stay, but we were able to enjoy them the night before while wandering town. The Inn is perfectly situated to enjoy all of the downtown area.
