Moseley Cottage Inn & Town Motel

Very convenient to downtown bar harbor. Delicious breakfast, small rooms but manageable. Free parking. All good.

This is our go to spot for our annual Bar Harbor trip for about 8 years now. It’s a toss up between the main building (more expensive but lovely rooms and very nice breakfast) and the motel (more Spartan and no breakfast but less expensive and still comfortable) every year, but we are happy with either - just depends on availability and my wallet. Easy walk to a coffee and breakfast spot (Choco-latte but get there super early or place an order ahead as the line gets long) and the village green/Main Street, handy parking, super easy to get in and out of town to Acadia…..I go with two teens (now one is actually in 20s) and the occasional tagalong teen friend or nephew and everyone loves it. Fridge in every room. Comfy enough beds. Water and tea and coffee in the main building lobby. Warning: unless you are on first level of motel you will be hiking up some stairs and the stairwell in the house twists a bit so hauling up a big suitcase is a struggle.

We stayed in the Precipice rom, which was large and beautiful in a beautiful inn. The location of the Inn, was perfect, on a quiet street, but we could walk everywhere downtown. The breakfast was delivered daily with an excellent selection. We would go back.

Location, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Nothing. All good.

We loved the location of the Inn because we could walk up the street to all the shops and restaurants without worrying about finding parking. We also enjoyed having breakfast served at a time that was suitable for our needs. Eating on the patio was a bonus. It was peaceful and quiet. The room felt like a small apartment because it had everything we needed: a refrigerator, coffee machine, table and chairs, fireplace, and patio. The only item I felt was missing was another bedside table so each person could have a place to keep their phone, jewelry, etc.; however, this is very minor.

It wasn't fancy per se (nostalgic Victorian main building) but the motel part of the property was very clean. The grounds were immaculate and the location was great.

What a perfect location, walkable to everything in town and 10 min to Acadia. Our room was spacious and clean. Would highly recommend! Oh and the blueberry pancakes, and scones are killer.

The property was a perfect location for visiting Bar Harbor. Located in town, we were able to walk to the harbor and to restaurants. The staff were helpful in suggesting good places to eat. The bed was comfortable and the room was quite spacious.

Enjoyed the table and chairs outside room where I had my morning coffee. Enough K cups to match the days of rental in the room.

Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor. The attention to detail and hospitality truly made our stay special. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Mosley Inn to anyone visiting Bar Harbor. It was the perfect home base for our Maine adventure!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Moseley Cottage and Inn. Our room was very spacious and clean. The homemade breakfast was exceptional! We loved the variety in choices. Parking was readily available, and we loved the fresh baked cookies in the lobby every afternoon. Downtown Bar Harbor was just a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again!

Super cute ! We really enjoyed our stay & breakfast was delicious too. So close to town and the ocean path where we saw a beautiful sunset.
