Comfort Inn Barboursville near Huntington Mall area

The Staff are excellent and so helpful. Especially, Andrew, at the front desk. He's the best! We will continue to stay here every time we come to Barboursville. You can't go wrong

The first room we were given smelled like old cigarettes and mold. There were bread crusts on the floor under the edge of the bed (clearly visible) and though the bed was made there was an imprint on the top cover of someone sitting on the bed. The clerk at the desk moved into another room that was reasonably clean. Entire building smelled like chlorine and mold, and the hallways and stairs h were not vacuumed during our stay.

While it was quite hot outside, the carpet in our first room was very wet for about 3 feet around the AC unit. We weren't sure if it was the fridge or AC at first, but definitely the AC. I was told it was because it was hot outside, but that makes little sense if a drain pipe was properly working to remove the moisture. Anyway, the staff was helpful and moved us to the next room, and the floor was fine. Lots of restaurants nearby. This hotel does remind me why I spend more on rooms nowadays rather than pick a slightly cheaper hotel. No need for us to stay at this location again. Breakfast was just ok.

Elevator broke down during our one night stay so we had to carry our luggage down steps. Breakfast was insufficient - the juice machine was just water, no refills on the eggs and bacon. We will not book a reservation in the future. We have already found another motel to call when we come through the area again.

The air conditioner did not work. Bottle of conditioner in the shower was empty. The freezer compartment was 2 inches thick with ice. It had broken the plastic on the door. Breakfast was served between 7 to 10 am. at 9, most pastries and bred were gone. They did not help.

The breakfast could have been better. It was bland and not very tasty.

We've been staying monthly at this Comfort Inn since our great granddaughter was born 10 months ago. The Staff is very friendly each time we are there and very helpful. Our rooms have always been clean and very comfortable. Barboursville, WV is a very interesting city and looking forward to returning to the Comfort Inn again

The room was very moist and damp, with a mildew-like smell that stuck to every single thing we brought in. The bed was comfortable, but again smelled like mildew… so thankfully (?) we brought our own pillows and blankets (which immediately were washed when we got to our destination). The bathroom was okay, not crazy about the toilet misting the back of your legs after you flush but maybe some enjoy that. Also, having the coffee maker and other “kitchen supplies” on the bathroom counter- barely 4 feet from the spraying toilet- was a little uncomfortable, so none of that was used. Soaps were definitely outdated because they fully crumbled in my hands, hand sanitizer was our buddy for the night. Oh and I almost forgot, the chair that is in the corner of the room that people usually put their bags and such on? COVERED in mysterious white stains. Unfortunately I’m not exaggerating on that one. Other than all that, I would say find a different place to stay, especially if you have somewhere to be the next day other than a car. And even that is pushing it. The one guy working the front desk in the morning was nice though, I’ll give them that.

The beds were not very comfortable, but after I found the curtain to block out the light that was in my eyes I was able to get some sleep. The shower was great, except for some black mold on the ceiling. Plenty of counter space.

Honestly Friendly staff, entrance was clean. Room. You could tell was vacuumed bed was made. Couldnt complain. Towels were stocked a roll or two of toilet paper nothing out of the ordinary. Hot water! Is there anything more to say? Lol.but honestly if i were to stay again think i would downgrade to a queen size room Microwave didnt work, housekeeping didnt restock towels as they said they would every couple days. Housekeeping wasnt there the majority of the time we could leave hours at a time and towels were never replaced, trash were dtill in the bins etc. Could do for some better service, saw something about an additional $250 for housekeeping unless i was reading it wrong when i signed my initials when checking in. Pillows were also flat. Bed wasnt comfortable after a day or 2. Stains also on lamps, Could be coffee/ Dryed blood. Curtains were also ripped.also TV wouldnt turn on sometimes the power button would stick. Also everytime i would try to enter the pool it was always locked, tryed using the card reader on the side of door aswell and was unable to get in, possibly under maintanence. Would be nice if i paid close to $850. Would at least get better

We were on the ground floor right by the door so it was easy in and out with our pets. Front desk was super friendly and very accommodating! Beds were comfy and we slept well. I’d stay here once before a couple years back and everything was just as great as it was then. Definitely my go to spot when I come to the area and very affordable!

We stay here frequently. Staff is welcoming! Our dog loves it! It is close to restaurants and stores.

Good location to break up my drive. Pool was great for the granddaughter to use up energy. Nice breakfast variety.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It's was disgusting.

The parking lot was small. We had a car trailer with us, so we had to park in the Kohls parking lot. Which was fine til I had to bring in my suitcase & cooler was a little struggle to lug them up a hill.

That I had to leave & travel back home

Car broke down, tried to cancel. Would not let us, had to pay without being there.
