Townhouse Barstow On Historic Route 66 CA I 15

Good budget motel with breakfast and unheated pool. Basic room in very quiet small town. Very enjoyable stay to see 4th of July fireworks. Will stay again.

Well first off they have sign that says no deposit will be refunded without a receipt. And I ask for my receipt. As I was in line in lobby on phone with there costumer service they tried to convince me to pay online I refused and they tried to intice me by saying I'll get more money taken off if I did still said no got to the register and was told I already paid from my credit card hours earlier. Woke up face was very swollen right eye was shut went down to lobby to check out and the guy was outside and I gave him the room key and he was like okay all done. I said no I have a deposit he said cash I said yes he took my receipt and was gone for about 30 minutes he came back asked me to come inside and told me that because there was like three little drops of blood from my finger on the sheet that he was going to charge me 15 for new sheet now it says in there privacy policy that that's normal wear and tear and I had to go to the hospital they told me I was having an allergic reaction to the blanket sheet or pillow and the guy charged me 20 not 15. I will never stay they again plus I'm suing them

This is not your average Super 8. The managers/owners are a couple who take pride in the property and comfort of the guest. I always stay there on my into Vegas from San Francisco. They pay attention to detail and are responsive to their guests. The TV's are high quality, calibrated for good picture. The room air control systems are quiet and flexible to any comfort standard. The grounds are clean. Great location right off hiway 15 (clise to cheap gas at Walmart!) It is not the Hilton or the Ritz Carlton, but in my opinion it's the Ritz Carlton of Super 8 level properties in Barstow...at least.

Unsafe, dirty property and shady people all around.

The staff were so kind and helpful. The air conditioner didn’t work great but the staff helped us find a room that did work. I loved how they decorated the room and the staff helped an old women who could barely hear get breakfast .👌😊

Breakfast menu could use a few more choices not very appealing. The room was okay clean wise but could use some freshening up new linens and towels. The price was right and staff was friendly close to restaurants and shopping I would stay there again.

Good place in Barstow for a stopover.

I feel like this was a bait and switch. The name that I booked it was Townhouse Barstow and turns out it's a super 8 motel. Breakfast was only toast, muddy coffee and bananas. the shower water was lukewarm at best.

Hard to say how it would have been but I arrived and they said that I canceled my reservations, which I did not. I got a feeling that they wanted me to check in with a higher rate. Seems like it should have been easy to resolve. All they would have to do is say they would honor the rate that was reserved thru Expedia.

The guy behind the counter at check in was really good. Unfortunatly the room was a bit of a let down. The surfaces od the furniture were all sticky and the furniture by the pool was falling apart. I didnt mind staying there. If i stay in that part of the world again i will spend a little more money and stay somewhere a little nicer. As a place just to get your head down it was ok.

Good place for the price, breakfast was ZERO STARS. No hot food, frozen bag of ego waffles next to toaster, spoonful of yogurt in small cup, fruit cup with 2 pieces of pineapple in it and that was it. Place was clean so that is a plus.

Staff was very friendly. The room was relatively clean, there was hair and debris around the baseboards in the bathroom. Towels all had holes in them. Towel art at check-in nice touch. Breakfast was very limited selection of dry cereal, soufflé cups of yogurt, and toast. But, for the price, it was clean, good location, the pool was nice.

It was cheap

Hotel was an older building. Staff was friendly. Room was big and clean. Beds comfortable. Dog friendly. Was there only one night. Ate at a very good Italian restaurant nearby called DiNapoli's Firehouse.

We booked our stay at the Townhouse Barstow Historic Resort, but ended up at a Super 8 hotel instead. (It turned out that the cost of our stay included a "resort fee"—a relatively small amount, but one that Expedia, for some reason, failed to mention). Nevertheless, the staff at the front desk gave us a friendly welcome. However, that alone is not enough to ensure guests get a proper night's rest. The bedding felt stale to us—giving the impression that it hadn't been changed since the previous guests; the mattress was terrible, and the pillows were completely worn out. It also wouldn't have hurt to have a bit more coffee available. The breakfast was simple and catered primarily to those with a sweet tooth, though—on the plus side—we did meet some very pleasant people there.

Overall great experience, great value. Highly recommend staying here. No roaches inside room, just saw one outside.

The name is misleading. It's Super 8. We stayed in room 112 and the air conditioning was sooo loud and it sounds like a plastic bag is being sucked in from the outside but there was nothing when we checked. Overall, the room was expected for the price...a decent-ish place to just sleep. The pillow cases were wrinkled so they either reused the same linens or they came out of the dryer like that. The worst part is receiving a call at 1am!! Who calls their sleeping guests at 1 in the morning??! By the time I got out of bed and checked to see if the phone displayed a caller ID (it didn't) the phone stopped ringing. It's also further from the main road so it doesn't feel super safe.
