This is a well maintained older (built 2005) building, with all the little challenges that old buildings have. I had a chance to talk with the part time maintenance guy, a retired HVAC pro, they call him Energizer Bunny and it fits. If they gave him the budget he would fix everything, twice. It is also a "budget" place out on a highway a couple miles from the center of a small city - in Arkansas. Remember though location matters and sometimes that more than price point drives the condition of the property. I suspect that a Comfort Suite in Bentonville or Fayetteville is a little more "polished". We stayed for two nights while my wife was visiting Marshall Dry Goods. We had no specific issues. Our bed was fine, the wall cooling unit is a bit loud but they always are at this price point, it was also hot so the poor little thing had no breaks. The shower worked, no issues with the other facilities. It was clean, but there was a very slight background scent, not unpleasant just cleaning fumes layered over 21 years of people coming and going. Everyone we engaged was pleasant, effective and good ambassadors for the town. We got good recommendations for restaurants that were honest and accurate. If we came back to town would have no reservations about staying again. If money were no object and they could afford to close for a month and do a top to bottom refresh on the whole property, restore the hot tub, heat the pool, fix every roof leak, gym equipment, etc. The old girl could be restored to her full potential. There is no hot tub, they need to adjust that claim and photo in their posting. The parking lot orientation is also a bit wonky, makes a whole line of the spaces a tight manuver to come and go.

We stayed here because the reviews said it was clean. It was cleanish. Surface clean. The whole hotel needs a deep clean. The lobby had a not so fresh smelll. The elevator looks like they swept and mopped the middle but the edges and track was gross. The room—the bathroom was clean. Again everything was surface clean. I always check for bed bugs in any hotel— the mattress is in a mattress cover. I did not see any bugs but plenty of dirt. The curtains were filthy. I don’t even know how that happens. I would not recommend staying here. I think the likelihood of bed bugs are strong as they do not have the mattresses protected from them. If we had been staying more than one night I would have moved hotels. Also the door says checkout time is noon they called me at 11:05 and said I had to ck out now. Very rude. I was sitting in the breakfast eating area at 9:05 and the same lady informed me I needed to be done. I was just eating not getting more breakfast. Again rude. Just because she wanted to get her surface cleaning done as quickly as possible.

Its was a great stay my girlfriends first time in a suite and she was not disappointed. Thats my new spot when i come to batesville now

They advertised a pool but it was closed. The breakfast was absolutely wretched. They have hand sanitizer machines but none of them work! The shower barely even worked! The front desk staff in the morning have the personalities of a rock. The evening front desk gal was very friendly and helpful. I would not stay there again if it were free!

Clean room. Staff was great.
-
The room was clean.. The only draw back was that particular room placement right by the front desk..

the only things that i liked were the quietness. I did not like that the bathroom had stuff all over the walls underneath the sink and in the corner by the tub; it had mold on the wall the hot water was not all that great. I will never stay there again. The pool was out of service, which I was not informed of at the time of booking, and did not say anything about the pool being out of service on the website where I booked my stay.
