Holiday Inn Baton Rouge-South by IHG

The Bad: while the entrance looks nice and pretty, as you walk in further you notice this hotel is old, run down, and gross. Walking towards and out of elevators you see the carpet is coming off, bathrooms are old, worn, and have a terrible caulking job. I think motel 6 may have nicer looking tubs. The phone in the room didn’t work (tried to call front desk). While the man who took our order was kind, the food itself left us disappointed. We should’ve just gone out to pick up food outside the hotel - McDonald’s would’ve been much better. Seems like a poorly run hotel. I hope they invest in it or they will end up shutting down for cutting corners.

Room where very clean and well-kept the beds were comfortable and very quiet; I slept like a baby staff was very pleasant and helpful would recommend this place to anyone.

I would book again.

Beds were great and very comfortable. Pillows were typical for a hotel and not firm at all. The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned well as there were multiple hairs on the wall and surrounding tub. The shower also only had a hot setting. Add in no fan in the bathroom and it made for an uncomfortable shower and not refreshing. The air conditioner was very loud when it kicked on during the night. The rest of the room was in pristine condition and the kids loved taking the glass elevator up to our floor.

The staff was great. It was clean. Breakfast was great. Just needs some updates.

The breakfast and dinner was not clearly explained. There was construction and an elevator down. No stairs to be found. Staff not very friendly.

I did not like that it was no complimentary breakfast. The rooms didn’t smell fresh . When it comes to extending stay it became completely frustrating

The facility seems fine with plenty of parking space. However, we were there for the night but could not handle the strong odor from the pillows.

Each stay has been very pleasant. The Staffs are very friendly and helpful. No complaints, very accommodating, clean and safe environment.

Comfortable beds and chairs and temperature was perfect. Cabinet door for the refrigerator needs a touch-up and bathroom could use a stopper for me to enjoy a bath. Thank you for welcoming gift!

Absolutely clean and plan to stay there again when I am in town again

We have stayed here multiple times when we are visiting in Baton Rouge. The hotel is very clean with good amenities, the staff is very courteous and helpful. It is a very relaxing stay.

I've stayed in 4 different hotels in Baton Rouge and this one ranks in the middle.

The price for 1 night was a little pricey.

The comfort of the bed Check in was a nightmare and took over 45 minutes. I had a reservation and still had issues. My card was charged multiple times. It was a hot mess
