    I have had very good luck in the past with Hilton Garden Inn but this one was the worst.It is also not a great location.

    It was a unique experience that I would receive messages asking if I was ok and if I needed anything. I asked for a mug so I can make tea and a few minutes later, I received it. The room was very spacious.

    There was a smell in room 410, it was really bad and smelled like there was mold in the walls. Also, the water did not seem clear in the tub. Perhaps it was the tub that changed colors, but I did not want to find out.

    We checked in to find one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve seen. And the bed frame was sticking out from the wall making it a great way to hurt yourself. It really made me appreciate how much work hotels put in to keep their properties clean. They didn’t do it at Hilton Garden Inn. Staff was mixed. Sometimes helpful and sometimes seemingly annoyed. The location was fine. Extremely overpriced. At about $300 a night. Easy parking. Oh.. booked this because there was a pool. Pool was closed.

    Signs in the room indicate that housekeeping would provide services every other day. They never entered our room. The woman at the front desk just said “I don’t control why they don’t do their job” when asked about it. This was the same woman who was talking on her cell speaker when we arrived to check in. We were treated like we were a major interruption. Otherwise the room was fine.

    The lady that works over the weekend has been phenomenal! I wish I could remember her name. She’s a guidance counselor at a school and every time we’ve been there she has just been amazing! I’d give her 10 stars if it allowed it!

    Horrible experience. Hotel cancelled my reservation when I was at the desk checking in having just flown in from Dallas rented car and drove to Beaufort. Desk clerks were rude and complacent and lied - they cancelled the room. Horrible experience no help or remedy they didnt care that I had booked and paid for the reservation back in February $800.19. I was turned away.
