Silicon Valley Inn

Was unable to check in early and then because of the gathering needed to check in early evening. The only unoccupied room had issues with a recently cleaned carpet. The fix was bedspreads on the floor which was a trip hazard. We were so tired after traveling we opted to go ahead and spend the night. My sister still stepped on an area of the carpet that was missed during cleaning and had to scrub her feet. I did talk with the owner-manager. I do believe this experience was an anomaly. Other than the floor issue, the room was clean.

Manager seemed like he wanted the last amount of interaction with visitors as possible. The room I stayed in seemed like they have been working on updating the bathroom. Bathroom flooring seemed newer but carpeting in room was old old. Trim around the bottom of wall in bathroom was missing pieces. I'll look elsewhere in the future.

What breakfast? Drapes that black out light.

When wanted to use shower, water temperature was too hot, so I couldn't use shower.

Great shower and spotlessly clean. Older property bu the room was recently remodeled.

Easy access to caltrans Belmont station.

The overall experience at this hotel was very good! The bed was a little hard for my liking and the paint was peeling in the bathroom! Other then that the room was very nice and very clean!

the refrigerator kind of had a moldy smell about it. I only kept bottled water that had never been opened in it. I wouldn't put something that is not tightly sealed in there.

Manager was very friendly and helpful, even after I messed up the reservation. Train station is a short walk away, as are McDonalds and several of service spots.

The condition of the place is quite comfortable. The staff are friendly.

It wasn’t clean.

This property is a motel. No amenities or frills, and the price shows it. If you only want a place to sleep, this is perfect. If you want to spend time hanging around the room or property, keep looking.

There is a "coffee room" that is a little light on amenities. Offering a Keurig machine is nice, but having milk or half and half would be a great addition for not much cost. I find powdered creamer oily and disgusting.
