Staff was not welcoming to hotel guests treated regulars much better.

I made the reservation through Expedia for a 2 queen bed room with Bay View. When we checked in, the windows of the room was facing the rooftop and big commercial dumpsters. We were totally shocked. After talking to the front desk, the hotel was able to switch us to another junior suite but still without the bay view, it was facing the rooftop only. I guess the reservation through Expedia was not guaranteed to have the type of room on the reservation.

Good

Beautiful setting, clean, nice amenities. Not very accessible at all for those with small children or with disabilities. Lack of clear signage or wayfinding, lack of ramps with stairs, and a very steep entry. Restaurants seemed nice, wish there were more vegan options.
-
Small rooms but very nice and comfortable bed. Beautifully decorated historic hotel and great pools. Not good for those with ADA needs though
-
My bed had throw pillows on it that didn’t look so clean and new, but other than that, it was a pretty good experience.

Easy all around! Parking, gym, pool, food

Overall, facilities, views, welcome, and even the pillows on the bed - wonderful! The issue was the mattress. Hard as a rock. I have a firm mattress at home. The mattress that tortured me all night was not firm. I was scouting the resort for a family trip - but wouldn’t put anyone through the sleepless night. I was up and out as early as I could be. I did speak to front desk and even left a message for head of housekeeping, and no response to apologize for the mattress that desperately needs replacement. Gosh, my joints spoke to me for days after.

wonderful view and service!

Thank you. The long walk to our room in the next building through the first building down to the ground floor first then up to the second floor in the next building. No central, more inclusive gift shop that is open in the lobby area. Only a few small ones here and there. We could understand the building is old, built way back in the early 1900s and additions have been made over the years, though.

We had a beautiful large room overlooking the city and tennis courts. We had a wonderful quiet dinner in the bar one night and breakfast every morning in the French Cafe. The check in staff is wonderful.

I had an amazing birthday celebration here. This property couldn’t be more beautiful but the hotel gave me a lovely birthday surprise without any request. I just felt amazing. Thank you!!

Great hotel

Always love it - a little odd this time as Team Australia was staying - that was neat but weird that they had the stairway clocked for security - I wonder if next time they have a floor buy out they can set something up to allow access to the stairs for when the inevitable elevator slowdowns hit.

Very nice place for our staycation
-
It is an old and historical building, so, it smells old. The location worked great for us. The building is impressive and well kept. Ceiling felt low on the bedroom. The gym and spa were great, food was excellent, including the coffee. Staff was available and helpful.
