Better than expected, staff was GREAT!

Staff was beyond helpful, food was tasty

The hotel is dated. It is obvious that the staff cleans the property, but it could definitely use an update. Our room was mostly clean. I am obsessively clean, so I notice everything. And, when I walked into the bathroom there was obvious hair on the floor—some long strands, and some short. When I see things like that in the bathroom, I can’t help but wonder what’s in the carpet that I can’t see. There was also a musty smell to the room. The front desk staff was wonderful. And, the beds were comfortable. We stayed for one night. I didn’t hate it entirely, but I’m not rushing to go back.

The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, but it did not cause any problems for us. Breakfast was good, and the 5:30 p.m. Kickback was a great added touch. The staff was welcoming, and we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay overall. We would stay here again.

Great experience! All the staff were helpful, kind, and wanted us to have a great experience. There were several options for breakfast, all amazing! The room was clean and well maintained. The staff gave suggestions on where to part for easier access to your room. The whole experience was above and beyond!

My family and I drove across country this summer and stayed in a verity of hotels. The Drury Inn in Birmingham was by far our favorite! The hotel itself was fairly typical. What made it stand out was the staff! Everyone was friendly, not just polite, but down right friendly. The chef was a real sweetheart. He seemed happy at his job and very proud of the food he prepared. You could taste his joy in the cooking. This was not your typical “hotel food”. His was superior. We will definitely return next year as we pass through Birmingham!

Our room was very clean, staff was nice.

We have stayed there twice, both times for an upcoming surgery for our kid, the proximity to UAB Children's was most important to us, and once I totally forgot a dress, and they actually sent it to me via the mail!! How uncommon, but truly sweet of the staff. I have another trip upcoming at UAB Children's and will be booking with them again.

The location is great on a side street off the busy highway. The breakfast is far more than a continental breakfast. Freshly cooked and well stocked breakfast options. I have to mention the shower. The shower has great pressure. You will not want to get out of it.
