Hampton Inn Birmingham-Colonnade 280

The room we were in didn't have a mattress in the couch. It was straight up missing and we were told that they didn't have extras and there was nothing they could do. The showers are built backwards. The sliding door only opens one way so you have to reach into the shower to turn it on and pull yourself out before the cold water hits you. Absolutely stupid design. There weren't enough blankets for our kids. I had to sleep with a sheet. The elevator felt and sounded like it was going to breakdown each time we got on it. The doors didn't shut all of the way. Unless you pull on the knob, hear it lock, and try to open it again, it's probably not shut all of the way. We had two rooms on two different floors and they were both like this. The breakfast was mediocre and when they ran out of something it took so long for them to bring it out. The juice machine constantly tripped the surge protector and someone had to open the cabinet and flip it back on. We will never stay at this hotel again.

The rooms was real clean, the beds was comfortable. The area was great a lot of stores around the area didn’t have to travel far at all.

The elevator had a rough stop and go with chipped paint on doors. No parking when we arrived. No breakfast left. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Would not recommend.

Clean room and great and helpful staff.

There was mold in our bathroom - the staff was more than helpful but it was a terrible experience when the whole town was sold out and they had no more rooms

No one could check in until 3:30 with no rooms cleaned and available. Desk was unmanned numerous times. Maybe understaffed?? Great room though.

Smelled terrible, was also a liquor bottle beside the bed when we arrived. clearly was not looked at closely. the price was also way too much based on the accommodations.

The shower did not have hot water, and there were mold stains in the silicone around the tub.

Pool was dirty, elevator broken,

Didn't like that only one elevator worked spent most of my stay waiting for a chance to go up and down from my floor.. didn't like that the coffee pot in room didn't work properly. I've stayed at other Hamptons that were much better!!

The rooms need to be updated. It smelled like mildew, and there was peeling paint on the ceiling.

Everyone was really nice but when we got to our room there were several things that looked like they had been patched. There was a hanging hook just dangling out of the wall. The tub/shower combo was sanded/repainted and the paint was flaking off very badly. The room was spacy but the curtain chain was broken and we were unable to lift the curtains/shade.

Front desk staff was very helpful. The room was cleaned as expected. This was a quick one night trip would stay again.

Front desk was great, room wasn’t ready when we got there, but she made sure we were the first one to have a room. It’s in a convenient location so we just got food during the wait.

I had the room with the king bed with a sofa. It was very spacious. The bed and pillows were wonderful! I wasn't impressed with the wi-fi. Although we were unable to use it due to our schedule, the pool looked inviting.

Got the room for my parents and my Mom has OCD and is very picky. She had no complaints and they said that they enjoyed the property. They really loved the breakfast!

It was very clean and updated and seemed like a safe area! The pillows were not comfortable. That’s my only complaint

The room was very clean. The ac unit in our room was stuck on the coldest setting, I loved it but my husband and daughter were freezing 😜. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety! We would stay here again if we are passing thru! Thank you

Lack of cleanliness

No hot water; dirty sheets; sheets that didn't fit the bed. When asked to move to another room they opened the door on another room that was occupied by another guest.
