Home2 Suites by Hilton Birmingham Colonnade

The hotel staff made our trip extra special. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We had a very clean room, comfortable beds and plenty of amenities. The staff was awesome and when we asked for food opinions, they had many brochures of local restaurants we could eat at. The cleaning staff was quick to bring extra towels and bedding for our family. The facility was great and clean and the outdoor pool was well taken care of.

The bathroom was not clean. Red/pinkish mildeew in the shower. The breakfast was not fresh.

Best continental breakfast ever, but the lobby area has perfumed scents sent through the A/C so you have to sit in the dining area eating breakfast while inhaling airborne chemicals. Same for the fitness room as it is right near the lobby. Clean room except the shower could have been cleaner. Don't like the perfumy hand soap and liquid soaps/shampoo/conditioner either. Staff friendly and helpful.

Animal hair everywhere in the bathroom. And there were roaches near the fridge.

I am a big fan of home2 suites but when i arrived the person behind the counter didnt greet or even say anything to me. Not even a can i help you or what did i need. Didnt even tell me my room number i had to look on my cards envelope. The shower had mildew in it. Do better

Old food left in refrigerator from prior guest. At check in office manager talking on phone whole time disrespectful!!! Asked for extra pillow unavailable and no extra in room for pull out bed

This was a business trip so a clean, safe. quiet hotel with reliable internet are top priorities. My only minor gripe was the breakfast selection was missing yogurt and oatmeal (emphasis on minor gripe). I do have to give Don a big shout out for helping me with an early check in. Thx Don!!

I received the wrong room and was unable to change. And when I asked for blankets of pillows for the pull out couch the front desk said they had none!
