Spark by Hilton Birmingham Colonnade

Had to pay for incidental and called hotel engine. Spoke with patty, was told there’s nothing they could do.

The stay was good enough for a night Would not recommend the breakfast or booking a balcony as there was a used towel on the rail upon room entry.

Location was good. Plenty of places to dine out or shop. Breakfast was terrible!!!!! The bagels were hard and they just had cold cereal boiled eggs and muffins in a pack.The salt and pepper shakers had little to no grind left in them. And the juice they put out was spoiled!!!!! This was the most disappointed breakfast I ever experienced at any place!!! The television was very limited on what to watch for channels. Staff was unfriendly and acted very nonchalant. When you speak to any of the staff if seen in the hallways, didn't speak or acknowledge you. Front desk was not friendly and displayed no hospitality. My husband and I were very disappointed and don't recommend this place to anyone!!!! And we will not be returning back. They don't accept cash only card and you even have to include your deposit on your card as well, promising only to be told it will be put on there at check out. But you have no signs of it on your receipt, and told your bank should receive within 2 days!!!! I've never been to a hotel that don't receive cash, and especially for your deposit!!!!! Never will come back!!!! Service and breakfast terrible!!!!!

My room had a private balcony. The shower head sprayed in every direction but where it was supposed to... leaving everything outside the shower soaked. The carpet outside the bathroom was soggy when we arrived. The whole room was moist. The ac unit was very loud. When the ac unit turned off periodically, there was a water sloshing noise... like something was wrong. The refrigerator wouldn't close all the way... so nothing would stay cold or frozen. The balcony needed to be pressure washed. There was only 1 chair on the balcony.

Location, Desk clerk very friendly and courteous Bathroom seemed worn. Interior elevator doors need to be cleaned.

I didn't like how we had to change rooms twice because there were issues with the room. They shouldn't have opened up the hotel if all the rooms weren't ready.

They were doing construction so I couldn't access everything but this hotel is wonderful

Clean Not enough furniture

Price,location, and comfortable, breakfast. The 1st room I was in the door wouldn't even shut, so if I was to leave my things, anyone could just push the door open and walk in. I didn't like the permanent shoe prints in the bathroom. I didn't like the tub floor. Showered with sandals on. The new room I was put in because the door wouldn't shut. In the new room, the T.V. didn't work.

The parking lot was extremely over crowded due to construction. The hotel was getting construction done and I didn't feel safe walking in the halls Having to find a parking lot due to construction

It was very nice that met all my expectations. Front desk. Staff was very friendly.

Nothing, there was renovation being done that we were NOT made aware of prior to arrival. Hotel was being renovated, lobby was torn completely up, no where to sit, we had to walk around all kind of rubbish in the middle of the floor. The pool area was closed, a bad musty mold smell all over. The advertisement on booking was not the same.

The staff was friendly and check-in was a breeze. The manager on duty was awesome our entire stay. The property was being renovated so many amenities were not available. However, our rooms were newly renovated and extremely nice.

Nothing They booked us at a super low rate due to the facility being renovated. No heat in our room and it was extremely cold!!! Lobby was a mess. Elevator not safe. Power not working. Had to call down And request everything that should’ve been in the room. The room was nice but that’s about all that was nice about the room. The look of it

Nothing at all it was false advertising they never had breakfast they didn't have a phone in the room the sockets was missing electric shocking to my son the whole building was under construction got sick after I left still sick they had bad beds was itching a lot with bed bugs it was horrible on the construction does flying everywhere chemicals dirty restroom the room next door to us was fake it open all through the night someone kept coming in and out the room was we was afraid it was horrible no microwave as well False advertising everything they said they had everything was a lie they never had breakfast they was up on this construction bed bugs all in the bed bites all over us got sick from this construction with dust everywhere restroom was dirty let you wise we took pictures my son got shocked no phone customer service check-in was horrible checking out with horrible it was just all horrible a waste of my money

The location was nice The television didn't work during our first night, there was a lot of construction going on updating the hotel which i wasn't aware of until arrival I feel this should have been informed during booking, there was no amenities as stated when booking the room I feel I was really cheated out of my money the pics of the hotel and rooms are not accurate.

The rooms were gorgeous. Very clean, smelled wonderful. The lobby was under construction
