    1. They charged my card for a $100 "deposit" for 2 rooms. I had to dispute the charge to get it off. 2. There was no coffee in the lobby and the clerk said the Lobby restroom was "clogged". To use the restroom I would have to complete check-in and use the one in the room. 3 There was a sign post "no breakfast sorry for the inconvenience". Seems the sign had been there for a while. Another customer complained while I was standing there and clerk just brushed them off. No attempt to compensate. The sign stayed up our entire stay. 4. I had a 4th/top floor room. The hallway was HOT, no AC. The Room was HOT, AC off. The room took about 15 minutes to cool down . 5. The ceiling in one room was patched from leaking and the microwave was remove. 6.The linen looked dingy and I thoroughly inspected it before using. 7. None of the room waste baskets had liners ???? and seem dingy. 8. In one room the dresser had a piece of wood off the drawers and was falling apart. I will never use they again. Find another hotel. They give Ramada and Wyndam a bad name.

    How and why would you charge full price when you’re not able to deliver all your amenities?? Again no answer when I asked about it. Then I stated to the check in counter that I understand why they ask for a deposit, however I’m leaving on the 4th of July driving back to Texas and I’m attending a funeral, I’m not going to be in the room hardly at all, may I please give you the $50 cash so I don’t have to wait for it to be returned to my account. “WE DONT DO THAT”….what, take cash? Okay. Now I’ve been home two days and it still isn’t back in my account. Any way I hope someone told me all this before I drove 14 hours. Never again

    The property is a dump once you walk inside. The staff was fine and helpful. The rooms were okay, but didn’t feel very clean. There was a cigarette burn hole in one of the decorative sheets laid out at the foot of one of the beds in my room. Someone from a past stay’s cards were in the room and a couple pieces of trash in the bins. The “clean” bath towels I was provided each contained long strands of women’s hair in them (very gross). You get what you pay for, but this didn’t feel very sanitary. At checkout, I was hoping to grab a bite to eat at the free breakfast that was advertised, but I was told by the employees at the counter that they haven’t served breakfast at the hotel for some time. Would’ve been nice to not have been charged for a breakfast I didn’t get. Overall, the lesson is when you pay $65 for a hotel room, buyer beware.

    The phone did not work in room, couldn’t get towels for you,breakfast was not served as promised,they never did clean my room and I was there 2 days, ice machine did not work, had to bring towels down in order to get new ones, not enough handicap signs out front, sign in front of hotel which gendered your view to exit lot, overall, it was the worst stay I’ve had in a hotel

    During the entirety of the stay, my room was cleaned only once. The room was cleaned while I was out of the property for work (I traveled on business) and when I returned my door was left ajar and not fully closed. Thankfully nothing from my personal belongings were missing. Breakfast is listed but the reality is that there were 3 frozen bagels laid out alongside the coffee. Nothing else. One of the evenings I needed some drinking water and went down to reception and asked if I bottled water or drinking water was available. I was told there was no water bottles for sale, no drinking water available and no vending machines to sell me water. Instead, the solution I was given was to walk to the nearest gas station although this is highly risky as the hotel is next to the highway with no sidewalks to walk on. Lastly, my room had a funny smell despite it being a no-smoking, there was apparent mold in the AC vents as walking through the hotel, I observed a roach while I was in the room. Having said all the downside of the hotel, the staff was cordial, and nice. Although at times there was no one at the front desk. Personally, I would not recommend to stay at this hotel nor do I play to return.

    Negatives: This sounds like it was outdated for decades and then instead of renovating, someone bought it in a cheap price and tried to use it as it is. The AC was extremely noisy. The toilet fixtures have rusty, the coffee maker was very dirty and not usable, the fitness center AC was off and locked, from 4 tools in fitness center, 3 of them were broken and one worked partially. The breakfast room was humid without a window. The receptionist did not explain the breakfast time. They expected the guest should read the information from a board that was on left side of the reception desk. Positive: the pool view was nice. The mattress, towels were clean.

    Carpet in hallways was nasty and very noticeable. Rooms had odor, bedding was dingy, discolored and thin. The whole place needs upgrading. Ice machine around the back full of smelly dirty water. Nothing in vending machine. The best part of the stay is next to the airport.

    This hotel is pretty run down. The air conditioner only worked on the highest coolest setting which made it uncomfortable for just sitting and relaxing. We could see the pool from our room and had a few hours to kill, so we were going to go lay by the pool…this was the ONLY good feature of the hotel. The pool was clear blue, the deck and chairs seemed to be super clean; UNFORTUNATELY when we got down there the gates to the pool had padlocks on them and we couldn’t get it. Our visit to Birmingham was in mid June, so the pool would have been the only redeemable thing about this very sub par hotel and it wasn’t open in the middle of a very hot afternoon. The bed in our room squeaked every time anyone moved even a fraction and the mattress was so sunken in that it felt like our feet were higher than our heads. This hotel needs a major renovation and lots of upgrades. I would NOT recommend!
