Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Bloomington

Exceptional

The bar is closed even though they are still advertising a picture of a fully stocked bar. This is definitely a good hotel for families not so much for a couple. So many kids in the pool, really crowded. All in all it wasn’t bad just didn’t get to enjoy the two amenities I was looking for and based my hotel choice on.

Air didn’t really work, old room, $400 for one night. Should have slept in my car.

The size of the room & the location. The room temperature was set to 58 degrees when we first arrived.

The mattresses were absolutely disgusting in the two rooms we were in. They were visibly badly stained! The pillows in the first room smelled like a musty, wet dog!

At 2am the smoke detector in the room began chirping and there was no one there to fix it. While they gave us another room to sleep in it was very disruptive. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:00 and at 8:30 most of the food was not stocked. Just overall not a great experience.

Great place, spacious and clean.

The two rooms we reserved was not clean. One had blood on bed fridge leaking water a just not clean. Other room fridge didn’t work one plugged in was leaking other one up there stank badly. The ac unit in bedroom had the cover off an my 4 yr old son got shocked off of it ac in living room had puddles of water on floor went to front desk we both got moved to different rooms weren’t perfect but were better than the other 2. Tried to get a refund to move hotels but Expedia when I called couldn’t get in contact with hotel themselves and only offered me 50$ in key cash when I spent almost 1,000 between the hold fee and the rooms for 3 nights. All the hotel could do was offer me 150$ refund on top of the 100$ hold back so basically 75 per room. Wasn’t what I was hoping for but took the deal for some back. Won’t be staying here again.. the pool wasn’t that great either!

The hallways had a strong chemical smell. It was so bad we did not stay our last night. The vanity in my bathroom had been very poorly repaired.
