We have put our family members at this Hotel every year for the past 5 years. Everytime previously we have had zero trouble. This year was the first time this took an awful turn. They wouldn’t allow them to check in….they kept hassling them for at least as hour. They ended up canceling out reservation and making them check in with their credit card. Still charging for 2 nights when we only needed 1 night. Beware!!! So many better and friendly options in Blowing Rock.

The motel is clean and not too far from the downtown however we chose not to walk it due to busy road and rain. The room itself could use some side lamps next to the bed. Also they didn’t service our room during our two day stay. We tried to get fresh towels but office is manned only during certain hours. No very convenient. The motel is old school shower and shower head but water pressure was great.

Very old and very out of date. It was pretty clean and worked in a pinch.

Spotless, very big room

We showed up after 8. Staff left instructions for us to enter. It was cozy and easy. Loved the stopoff

Great location! 2 blocks to downtown Blowing Rock. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Grassy area for pets.

Very nice cabin! Close to shopping and nice area to walk around. Would definitely stay again!

All good

Neat little place but needs some TLC and better updating, not just a trip to Hobby Lobby. The rooms were not the cleanest. They don’t have carpet which is not terrible, but the floors need mopped badly. Our kids socks were black after just a few minutes. It rained the entire time we were there and there’s no door mat or way to wipe your feet other than the outside mats which should have been replaced years ago and offer no purpose. I would stay again if there’s no other options, but for the price I expect a lot better and cleaner of a place.

Always a pleasure staying here. Convenient, clean and quiet.

Great location. Seemed to be cleaner than competing facilities. Beds very comfortable and excellent showers. Great location. Rooms had more space and better layout than competing facilities.

The air conditioner was insanely loud.. The bathroom is tight. I mean tight. The shower did not drain and the water pressure was so hard that it actually hurt. The room needs a table. We were using the ironing board to hold our drinks while we watched tv at night. The front desk only was staffed the first day when we checked in. He was so sweet. Afterwards it was closed for the rest of the days. We needed towels and I asked the guy who I saw walking around and he was not happy that I didn't call the number on the door and wait for housekeeping.. but we were going out and i8didn't want anyone in my room..

We were in a king room #104. All was clean and in working order. The bed was comfortable and we did not hear any noise from neighboring rooms. Parking was just outside our room. The inn is a five-minute walk to shopping and eateries. Blowing Rock is a beautiful town with lots of flowers and trees in bloom.

Nice place to stay

The pic on Expedia doesn’t look. Nothing like the rooms. It’s a basic motel.
-
The room was clean and everything seemed to work. The property is also pet friendly.

Staff was really helpful, but it’s much older than what the photos reflect!
-
Cute clean room. Staff on holiday weekend with no knowledge of anything we asked..

We needed a place last minute to stay in the Boone area on the 4th and this was the only “affordable” option with our dog. It was over 200 a night for our smaller room but that’s to be expected during a holiday. If you only need to spend a night this room would be fine for your needs. There is no breakfast or other amenities I saw included with the room. The location is very good and right behind downtown Blowing Rock so that was nice. Our room was upstairs and there is no elevator so make sure you can climb stairs with your luggage. The doors are outside as well and there is an actual key for the room. The place is definitely old and could use updating but it met our needs for somewhere to sleep. We had two queen beds and a sofa in our room. The AC also worked which was nice when it’s so hot. Hopefully they will update the place if possible. Location is the best thing about the hotel.

Nothing fancy but clean and with the price.
