Very nice. Great staff. Clean, good water pressure. Nice towels. Good location

No bottled water offered. Hair dryer in room didn’t work. No extra roll of toilet paper in room. Otherwise, room & property were clean and it was pretty convenient to downtown Blowing Rock. Staff was friendly & helpful.

Very quaint hotel in a very nice location. The entire town is nice to walk and experience the amazing views with friendly people.

The Boxwood was perfectly fine for a comfy nights sleep and a warm shower. Great location!

It’s a very old property that has been renovated. It’s ok. It’s clean. Nice furniture and bedding but really basic overall. No thrills, just a good night sleep. It was showing 9 out 10 on Expedia before I booked and I don’t know what world this place would be 9 out of 10. It’s a cute old property well maintained, but it is a basic stay, nothing great about it. I would say more like 7 out of 10. Did sleep well though. :)

Great location! Short walk to the shops on Main Street and dining. Just a few miles to some great hikes. The staff was incredibly professional and helpful. The room was perfect and clean. Well priced! Will book again next time we are in town.

It is a wonderfully quirky property nicely updated.

Had been renovated but still dated. Air conditioning blew black stuff out. We just needed a place to sleep for the night so it was fine but would not have wanted to spend more than one night here

Great room and location. The only problem was ants in the room. Any food left out would get ants in it. Other than that it was great!

The rooms was clean. Friendly staff. Loved the view and was relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the rockers. Some restaurants were easy to walk too.

I enjoyed my 4 nights at the Boxwood Lodge. My room was very clean, especially the bathroom. It appeared to be recently remodeled, the beds were comfortable and the large mini fridge had good freezer space, the Keurig coffee maker and microwave looked new. Wish there had been a table in the kitchen area to store food & drinks. We asked for another chair and side table to be brought in, which the staff happily did for us. The room was very quiet, did not hear road noise. Our stay was during the week, so our room did not have neighbors, which was nice. The only uncomfortable issue we encountered was while the rooms near us were non-smoking, but as nice as the outdoor temps were, we could not leave the door open for fresh air or enjoy sitting on the porch in the rockers due to the outside smoking by others a few doors down, who seemed to be smoking a lot in their rockers. Lots of good parking available. The gals at the front desk were very helpful with requests we made, and with recommendations for restaurants and museums nearby. The walking proximity to the lovely downtown Blowing Rock area was perfect. We will definitely be returning for another stay at this lovely, well maintained inn.

Great location .

Great place.. walk to everything.

This turned out to really be a motel room in lieu of in a lodge. That said, the staff were very helpful and communicative, the room was very clean, spacious with a comfortable bed. The "lodge" is on main street but downhill a few blocks from the end of town. The main bldg does have a "living room" and a deck with chairs. No breakfast was provided. All in all a nice place to stay.

I asked for a first floor room. Little did I know that the first floor had about 5 or 6 broken stone steps going to it. The railing was very loose. The room smelled very musty until we turned the heat on. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
