Springhill Suites By Marriott Boca Raton

They charged my personal card the whole amount of the room plus the incidental of $20 and another unknown charge of $96.12 when the room was prepaid by my job. Not happy with this bc the hotel has over $270 of my personal money held with my bank. The check in needs better training when it comes to verification of how a room was paid before running someone’s card.

The elevators were on the fritz for almost my whole stay. Not ideal when staying on the 5th floor but everyone was super friendly so that partially made up for it.

When we requested towels be brought to our room due to the hotel being short on towels, we were told that because this was a “Select Service Hotel,” we would need to come to the front desk ourselves. Given that the hotel did not appear particularly busy due to ongoing renovations, this was disappointing. The hotel is conveniently located, a nice size, and although somewhat dated, renovations appear to be underway. Unfortunately, the level of service left a lasting negative impression. Guests have many choices when deciding where to stay, and we will think twice before returning to this property or recommending it to friends and family. We typically enjoy our stays at Marriott properties, but unfortunately, this one will be memorable for the wrong reasons.

Conveniently located close to the FAU campus. The staff were very friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Great room at a great price. Will be staying here every time I visit my son in college.
