The Kendall

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the soundproofing. We could hear the guests on both sides of our room fairly clearly—one group came in late at night, while another was up early in the morning. It wasn’t enough to ruin our stay, but it did interrupt our sleep. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it. A wonderful hotel with a lot of charm and a great location!

The hotel it self, was beautiful..the room was extremely hot, the remote control thermostat was in a foreign language and ac cut on/off throughout night, never cooled down and in our Texas heat-it was very uncomfortable. Huge roach was wondering around in bathroom..too fast to kill. Door knob was literally missing bolts and falling off( told staff and nothing was done) we did have an amazing steak dinner at the bar on positive note… Also if you re looking for a fun and exciting shopping experience or nightlife-this is not it.

Had dinner at the bar last night and it was very good. The staff was awesome.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone from the front desk, cleaning crew, bartenders, waiter, etc were friendly.

Beautiful property, comfortable and nicely decorated rooms and a wonderful restaurant on site.

Arrived late at night and was unaware that there would be no staff there. Saw a flyer with my name on it on the counter. I tried calling help number and there was no response. Walked around the property and ended up in the restaurant, a gentleman there told me that staff leaves for the night and that I should have gotten an email with check in instructions (which I didn’t until later that night) anyway - I figured things out myself - found the keys, and made it to my room. Scary, complicated check-in on my own. But place was really nice and room was huge. It would have been nice to get a call or email before arriving- seemed like an escape room challenge.

We arrived, and I was unable to get into the hotel to check in. The door was locked. I went to the restaurant and one of the staff assisted me. Upon checking in there is a sign that states complementary champagne on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at check-in. This was not offered to me. Our room was cute, but we found three dead roaches and one live roach. I did inform the staff.

Front counter staff wasn't as helpful or friendly as we've experienced in the past. When asked about the hours of operation for the restaurant the primary response was "we don't have anything to do the restaurant". That's understandable, except it carries the same name now AND is attached to your business. Some grace toward that confusion would be nice. In the Carriage House cabin the AC couldn't keep up with the heat (only a high of 94) so room was stuffy and not as comfortable as expected. Door was difficult to close (latched) without using the deadbolt.

We stayed in the main house in a suite on the upper level. The house is a historic property but has been well maintained and decorated. Think Texas hunting glam, deer heads and horns with beautiful chandeliers. Our bathroom was huge with enough space for a chair, large stand alone tub, ottoman filled with light from large windows. The bed was comfortable. No large TVs here which we liked. There’s a small pool for dipping and cooling off. There’s a well liked restaurant and bar attached—we only had drinks. Would stay again, maybe in one of the stand alone buildings, such as the school houses.

I enjoyed staying in the room I was in. I felt like I got really good night sleep for the two nights I stayed there. However, I did notice that I had several spider friends crawling on the ceiling, but they never bothered me though.

We really had a great time. The fro y desk lady needs to work on friendliness and showing kindness.

Only issue was that the pull out twin did not have sheets or blankets, nor were they anywhere to be found in the room. Make sure u check before staff leaves for the evening.

Wonderful stay and great meal at the bar. Try the fabulous crab cakes!

Everything was great a nice hotel to stay at no refrigerator or microwave in the room had a little fridge like a wine cooler. Very nice place

The Kendall was such a cute place, beautiful grounds, just very quaint. I stayed in the Cibolo 2 house and it was beautiful and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. I highly recommend staying at The Kendall if you are ever in Boerne. Also, it’s walking distance to the cute downtown area.
