Holiday Inn Boone - University Area by IHG

Room was a good size and clean.

Room was clean..the elevator was broken and we had to come down the Stairts from the 5th floor..not to good.

No free breakfast there website lies, no microwave, I have stayed at 3 other hotels in surrounding area, this has been the worse, I should have stayed at any other hotel!!

Staff

Room clean, bed comfortable. Location fine, but busy road to turn into and out of. Probably look around next time for a different spot.

We paid for breakfast and did not receive a voucher. I asked the front desk and the guy told me he did not see where I paid for it, but gave me a card for complimentary breakfast for 1 day, but not for the next day. Overall the place was nice and semi clean. The bathtub was not the cleanest and our towels had stains on them

Great service

Do not stay in 513, I was bitten over a half dozen times by bed bugs. The TV s are horrible. Just a few channels to choose from. Very little hot water. The key entry to the various entrances rarely work, had to walk around to the front entrance.

Great stay

The staff was really helpful. When we arrived, there was a missing bulb in our room that they replaced promptly. Later we realized there was kind of a musty smell though. Then, when we pulled back sheets there were some stains. I also found a long hair in my bed. My son and I have short hair. It was fine, but I won’t probably come back. Didn’t want to go through the hassle of changing rooms.

No hot water in our room.

The staff was very efficient and helpful. Location, great. Our room was a disappointment. Room was outdated, stuffy, and hadn't been cleaned properly. There were crumbs all over one of nightstands, with lots of little handprints on it. The outside wall with a window had a very large stain on it, which appeared to be patched, but still looked like we were staying at the site of an old crime scene. Also, no comfortable place to sit in lobby area :(

Very clean...quiet. We did have a tiny problem with a few young children running up and down the hallway which was very annoying but the gentleman at the front desk nicely took care of that and swiftly. He let us check in a little early because he had great customer service skills and knew we were very ready to get out of our car from traveling. Thanks for a nice stay. This is our second time at this location near the University and we will definitely be back.

The room, the location The breakfast option is ridiculous. It was so crowded and only 2 ( lovely) hotel staff to serve a lot of people. It took almost an hour before being served after I ordered. So my recommendation: don't get breakfast at this hotel ( plus, of course, it is overpriced)

Breakfast was not complimentary.

False advertisement. Advertised a hot tub and heated pool. Heated pool had no heat and was unbearable. Hot tub was down and staff said they were on it but other guest told us it was shut down by the health dept. Staff was nice but lied about a known issue. There was trash from the guest before. Dirt and rotten food under desk, curtains, bed edges. Window was fogged over between the panels. Couldn't even see outside

Room was adequate. You could see that the property wasn't well maintained. The air handler rattled very loud until we finally turned it off at 3am. Then the room got too cold so it was hard to get back to sleep. Told the front desk but they acted like they didn't care. Will not stay there again.
