breakfast was good, staff were excellent

Excellent Breakfast. Hotel old but very clean and all new furnishings. Excellent location right on the water

The rooms were clean. However, if you're looking for something more than a room I don't recommend this hotel for your stay. It's off beaten path which is ok if there are enough amenities on site to fill the gap. This hotel does not offer much and I did not like the location. The staff was pleasant. I tried to cancel the 2nd nite but even though they were booked solid and could have easily filled out room they would not let us out of the 2nd nite. I was very disappointed.

Everyone was so helpful. The rooms are great. We love the restaurant, especially when there is live music and dancing

A motel and need landscaping. Grass is all burnt out but back is beautiful great pool, Beautiful views, and the rooms are very nice. The only draw back is checkout time. Is 10:00 it’s early when you can’t check in till 4:00. We enjoyed our stay we had three rooms girls trip. Breakfast was included and was good.

We enjoyed the setting on the water, and the breakfast was hot and filling every morning. But if I had the chance I would not return.

Lovely location, nice pool and waterfront with boats to use, friendly guests and staff. Restaurant service was slow, but breakfast and dinner food was good. Our air conditioner was noisy and the filter light showed it needed cleaning.
-
It was a pleasant experience- the staff was very nice and the kids enjoyed the amenities

The restaurant is limited, though good.

T was a very nice stay and the breakfast was amazing We will be returning.

Good location, AC very loud in the room, balcony door hard to open

The staff were friendly and excellent customer service. The breakfast buffet was good and a variety of food to choose from. The view of the ocean from our room was breathtaking. The pool was clean and the landscape was well maintained. The beds and linens were clean. However, the floors were not well cleaned especially around the edges of the room, the counter under the microwave had not been cleaned for a while, paint was chipping in the rooms and the private deck off our room.

The location is gorgeous. It's located on the ocean and while I wish the beach was a bit more accessible to swim, it was still so pretty. We also enjoyed the restaurant - the food is very, very good. Our kids had fun at the pool. Our room was right next to their sewer system, so it smelled very much like sewage every time we walked out our door. Luckily, no where else on the premise smelled. Also, our room was very small and the shower was dirty. I think we paid too much for what we got, but we made the best of it.

Clean room, pet friendly, breakfast good. Location great with lots of amenities. Beds comfortable

Three lights didn't work in the room, and my husband had to teach the staff how to fix them so they did. We put out a sign indicating we wanted our room cleaned, which they did not do. Only when we complained did they come up and remove the dirty towels and trash, no bed made. For over $300 a night, I'd say we could have done waaay better.

The room was small no table to set at to eat. Only 1 outlet in the room which in the bathroom. Not enough outlets to plug phones in to charge. Room was every dark just small lamps. Needs to be updated. But was clean. Air conditioner was very loud.

Staff were good during check in. Easy and informative. The room was clean and spacious with a large deck and ocean view. We had complimentary buffet breakfast, which was very good with lots of food choices. The grounds and buildings could use some maintenance, due to peeling paint and overgrown landscaping. Pool area was clean with a heated pool. Onsite restaurant was limited on food choices. Otherwise this was a very good place to stay as a resort in a quiet beautiful location.
-
Do not book your room on “The Loft”. You will not be able to sleep at night from the noise guests walking up and down the stairs or in their room.
-
The bathroom was tiny and the toilet seat was a little lower than the top of the tub very disappointed. The service at the restaurant wasn't very good

Smuggler's Cove is an ideal destination for families who want lots to do for themselves and the kids while not being hectic or loud. The large lawns give plenty of room for people to spread out, and the outdoor games and a lovely pool with a view of the bay help provide pleasant and relaxing activity. The staff were friendly, thoughtful, and helpful, and the on-site restaurant has ample seating and delicious food. There's even a deck if you like to enjoy breakfast outside. The room was comfortable and quiet, even though there were a lot of guests on the property. We'd definitely come back.
