Travelodge by Wyndham Brattleboro VT

Good value for money. The staff was terrific.

It was near our route, so we didn't have to go far out of the way on our trip. It was also fairly close to places to eat. We had stayed there before and appreciated that we could bring our dogs, but this time we didn't bring them. The door stuck and you had to slam it closed, or put your shoulder into it to open it. The AC was absolutely cranking, so the room was cold, but that meant when you opened the door and let humid air in it condensed and left everything feeling damp and sticky. It appeared to be recently renovated, sort of, with unfinished pine boards for trim, and a new-looking edge-light mirror that was plugged in, rather than wired from behind. The outlet near the mirror didn't work, so it was plugged into the outlet by the light switch... the one where you would plug in a hair dryer or shaver. The walls had handprints (dog nose prints?) and the bathroom ceiling had brown water stains from the room above.

You get what you pay for, which was fine by me. Don't expect daily room cleaning. The building needs a serious facelift inside and out. The airconditioner was effective but loud. The one window was fully cracked and sealed with packing tape. Parking is very well lit and it was a perfect location for my business trip. Dog area is nice.

I didn't get a chance to stay because when I booked my stay on booking.com, it said nothing about a $250 cleaning fee on top of the already $214 they were charging to stay, so last minute had to find a new motel after driving 15 hours, was not happy. That they charge such a hefty cleaning fee on top of they rate to stay.

Upon arrival accounting was lacking, ice machine inoperable, room missing a pillow from one of the beds. Unpleasant stay. And extremely high room deposit of $250.

Quiet, clean, and well managed. My next trip to Vermont, I will book at Travelodge.

My only “bummer” was that the coffee wasn’t working. But there was enough food all around the area to accommodate that !

It was fine.

The room was filthy dirty, very old. Needed painting as the walls were dirty. The towels had stains on them. The floor in the bathroom was stained and dirty. This room was disgusting. You felt dirty just being in that room. I have pictures of bites that were discovered on my body the next day. I could not believe that this was a Wyndham property. I can’t describe the amount of dirty and stains. The hair dryer did not work, asked to borrow one, they did not have. I was not going to complain or write in, but once I saw the bites, I was so disgusted that I had to. I did not take pictures, because like I said, I was not going to write in. It was room 216. This is not an exaggeration. I have stayed at Wyndham properties many times before. I compare this to a roach motel. Please do something, the pictures on your site do not do it justice. I feel so dirty and ripped off. I could not sleep at all as I was grossed out so much.

Clean and comfortable . Great location Could use a new rug .

The overall stay wasn’t bad, the bed was amazing and the sink counter was very spacious. We didn’t need a lot since it was just two of us for the one night. Except the walls were stained and dirty, the doors had scuffs and what looked like a drink or something had splashed the bathroom door and they just didn’t clean it(I wiped some of it off so I know it could be cleaned). The check in was tedious and took longer than it should’ve. I’m not quite sure why I need to pay a 250$ security deposit/cleaning fee if the room was 60$ and definitely wasn’t cleaned well before we even got there.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke even though there's not supposed to be any smoking in the rooms and we had to listen to some guy cough and hack all night/into the early morning

Good for a one-night stay. The room was comfortable enough for a quick stop while traveling. A big bonus is that they are very dog friendly, which made things much easier since we were traveling with our dogs. I would stay again if I needed a convenient place for the night.

The room was clean, and that’s the most important thing. The staff was friendly in moving me to a new room where the air conditioning was reliable (as it hadn’t been in the first room). I was in standing water by the end of my shower, although the tub did eventually drain. After a flush the toilet ran for a few seconds periodically after a flush.

Room was very, very dirty bathroom had hair on toilet, &tub bought disinfent wipes & disinfent spray cleaned the room floors & walls very dirty first time i have every had to clean a room to stay in it.....

Staff is not well prepared to manage well-meant clients. The interest is more on charging the cost of the room rather than in making the client feel welcomed.

Some minor cleanliness issues.

The hotel administrator was very kind. Upon arrival I realized I could not stay here. I did not feel safe. I was showed my room and I just could not imagine sleeping in there.
