Wingate by Wyndham Brighton

The hotel was great gym, pool, hot tub, nice room. Couldn’t ask for anything more except a microwave in the room. I was completely satisfied, will recommend this hotel to anyone who has to go to the Brighton MI area.

This is a great location to downtown Brighton. We came for the Destination Starz Hollow event. This is our 3rd year at this hotel. It is a good value for the event and comfortable to sleep. This year, there was a terrible air freshener smell in the lobby. It felt heavy and damp from the pool. Our suite was in the pool area on the second floor. Worse, pur room was not clean or stocked. Upon entering, the overhead light dodnt work in the ceiling fan. There was a lamp, but the light was dim. The hall light was flickering, we did have it changed and it was fixed. But, our coffee and towels were not replenished and there was a good-sized urine spot on the side of the toilet.

This place is a dump. Had it not been 1 am when I checked in, I would’ve immediately asked for a refund and left. Super noisy AC, loud buzzing noise in the room, green pool, dirty toilet (as in 💩 residue), clump of hair in my towel… the jacuzzi in the bedroom - what??

The staff was friendly, the location was good, the breakfast was ok(burnt sausage and dried out eggs) I felt the room was small for a studio suite. The sink faucet was messed up , had to turn and turn to get it to shut off. There was mold in the bath, and the last night the toilet stopped working.called front was told I could down and get a plunger they would let ME use it. It'll told them the water stopped running and was the problem with it backing up . They said said the plunger was at front desk. I ended clearing buy dumping trash bucket full of water in it. At this time we had to use the toilet in the lobby. SO WE JUST PACKED UP AND CHECKED OUT EARLY, WE WERE NOT GOING STAY IN A ROOM WITH NO WORKING TOILET.We had three people and no working toilet We checked around 1;46 -2:00 AM. Also I forgot to mention the exhaust fan in the bath did not work , which I belive don't meet codes there is a crack in the ceiling,,and bubbled wet spots in the wall near tv stand. The last day no one came in to make up room or Empty the trash.

Was a pleasant experience, but somewhat noisy.

I liked that the pool and hot tub was right outside the king suite room. Good location in Brighton. They wrap their fruit and bagels in plastic wrap. Had a kitchenette - ZERO cups/silverware/plates or anything. The pool closes at 9:30 during the week. I slept okay on the firm bed, but you can hear the springs when you move. Breakfast is 5/10.

Stained carpeting in the halls and room. Dust/dirt along edges of floor/wall. Shower curtain had 2 buttons attaching the liner ripped out at 2 points. Room had that "we sprayed that deodorant everybody sprays to cover up the fact people smoked in here" smell that sticks to your clothes. Wood railings of the stairs had long sections of the varnish worn/chipped away. Exercise room had pathetic amount of equipment. Chairs in the lobby were completely and visibly worn out.

I got a room with a jacuzzi (sp.) bathtub which I enjoyed very much but the button to get the jets going was hard to work. Otherwise everything is great. The hostess that check me in was very personable and she even got me extra coffee pods. All in all a wonderful stay.
