Extended Stay America Suites Cleveland Brooklyn

It was in a great location. We when to a football game. The staff is great. There were good restaurants in the area. Nice relaxed atmosphere!

Nothing They were overbooked and we couldn’t stay there. Yet Booking.com charged us twice. And I can’t get you to give me a refund for either one.

I loved that the location was close to Cleveland without being in the heart of the city. I also liked how spacious the rooms were. There were cockroaches in my room.

The room was clean, but the garbage was still in the trash can under the sink and there were a couple of roaches running around. Stomped them, problem solved. All in all comfortable and good; pay attention to details and it would be great.

This was the last room available in the entire greater Cleveland area so I was grateful to have a bed. I was a late arrival and spent 45 minutes on the phone with “corporate” trying to wake up the night clerk. At one point he came out of his office and went back in for an additional 20 minutes kso I didn’t get to bed until 1am. I also had to keep the corporate call on the line during checkin as the clerk refused to speak / was completely silent so I was sort of scary! The front doors do not lock at night even through there is a key card access reader on the wall. As for the room it was rough without any shampoo, conditioner, coffee pot and the like. The placard said I could get that stuff after 9am then next day when day manager arrived. I couldn’t get the night manager to respond so I just went to sleep and left for work at 7:30 the next day - missing out on getting those amenities.

The look of the room at first was good until my friend, who I booked the room for, saw cockroaches and bedbugs on the floor and mattress. He went to the front desk to file a complaint and be moved to another room. However he was informed that he would have to pay extra for a new room even though they failed to maintain a clean environment for his stay. I called the hotel and spoke to someone and they told me that I needed to speak to the hotel manager, who was not there at the time, to file my complaint and have my friend moved to a new room at their expense. Needless to say, I was not able to get in touch with the hotel manager and my friend had no choice but to stay in the nasty room. I'm very disappointed with the way the staff handled this problem.

The person that checked us in was kind and helpful. The nighttime person was mean and annoyed that I asked for bedding for the pull out couch bed that didn’t have bedding on it. The room could have been a cleaner than it was.

Only stayed here one night and it was okay-ish. I stayed in a non-smoking room and I’m pretty sure the entire floor was non-smoking however I could smell cigarettes throughout the hallway and it also traveled in my room. If I had to stay another night I probably will book another hotel.
