Residence Inn by Marriott Buffalo Downtown

Hotel staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Our room was perfect and gym was nice as well. Fire pit area was not well kept, only downside I saw.

The pool was a little chilly for me, but the kids loved it.

After seeing the picture, the person at the front desk offered another room. It had the same problem though to a lesser extent. Eventually, we found a room without the black buildup. The hotel promised a deep clean on the original room for the next day so I could move back in. The next day after work I came back and they said the room was ready. It was not. The cleaners had done a surface level cleaning of the heating and cooling system and there remained large patches of black substance in the heating and cooling system. According to the hotel representative, they only clean it once every 1-2 months in the summer. When they again tried to find a room for me, we could not locate a room without this black substance in the heating and cooling system. I asked to be moved to a partner hotel, but it apparently was booked. They then offered me a full refund which I took and found a different hotel on my own. While my experience was the worst I've had at the many hotels I've stayed in, I will note that the front desk people did try. Though, given how many rooms had the black substance in the heating and cooling systems, I couldn't possibly recommend staying at this hotel.

Everything met expectations. Clean comfortable suite with a modern feel. Plenty of space. Nice pool, patio area . Good gym area, nice lobby area. Breakfast was good. Appreciated the free parking. Staff was very good. Would definitely stay again.

This has been the best hotel I have stayed in when coming back to Buffalo, or anywhere for that matter. I have this place saved for the future, every time I come back to Buffalo to visit I get some dirty, or uncomfortable place I end up hating, and I have rented even Airbnb's that were not this comfortable. I was so upset I was there for only a day.. very impressed. Would highly recommend, and will be the only place I stay from now on.

Great big rooms Clean, like brand new

Outstanding hotel! The staff were super friendly. We enjoyed the pool (closes at 11!) and the 24-hour gym. Breakfast had a range of options - waffle station, croissant egg sandwiches, mini omelettes, and so much more! Very clean as well - every time we were in the lobby we noticed staff keeping things tidy. The kitchenette had everything we needed and much more; hand towels, a scrub daddy, pots and pans, etc. The remote control blinds were a luxury lol. Noticed a few bbqs outside the pool area too! We loved the little dining sitting area in our king studio. Parking was a breeze and there was always spots available. Handy having the Walgreens next door too! Would definitely stay again.

The experience was wonderful.

The location is excellent if you are staying downtown Buffalo. Easily walkable. The staff was very friendly. There is no hot tub and the pool is cold but very nice and clean. Clean towels were regularly laid out on chairs and the area was nicely maintained….we just prefer a hot tub! The common area was a nice place to meet.
